A fringe Division I prospect who is currently ranked among the top 250 juniors in Pennsylvania. Updated measurables have Mason at 5’9, 185 pounds, which is 15 pounds heavier than when we last recorded his weight.

He is a prospect I’ve been meaning to reevaluate, and I’m doing exactly that now. Based strictly on what I’ve been hearing out of Interboro High School through the first five or six weeks of the season, I already had a feeling he was in the running for a significant rankings boost.

At the end of September, he posted a midseason tape showcasing nearly 700 rushing yards and six touchdowns, along with another 100 receiving yards and two scores. Nearly 800 yards from scrimmage through the first half of the season.

Fantastic production, but I wanted to see exactly how he was generating those numbers.

His midseason tape runs about three minutes, beginning with a shotgun handoff on an off tackle run. Marshall-Speights does a nice job setting up his blocks within the box, but the best part of this rep comes once he breaks into the open field.

He sees daylight with a cornerback roughly five yards behind him who appears to have an angle to make the tackle. He completely outruns that angle, showcasing an impressive second gear.

That is a huge component of what college coaches want to see from running back prospects. When you find daylight, do you have the acceleration and long speed to turn a 20 yard gain into a touchdown?

Mason is proving that he does, which is one of the biggest reasons I’m considering elevating his ranking.

His second rep showcases another important trait college coaches look for, the ability to contribute in the passing game.

He catches a wheel route and takes it roughly 50 yards for a touchdown. His third rep is much the same, except this time he takes a screen pass approximately 30 yards for another score.

Both reps demonstrate his versatility as a receiving threat. He can catch the football near the line of scrimmage and create yards after the catch, but he can also work downfield and capitalize on opportunities beyond the underneath passing game.

His off tackle runs are particularly impressive when you watch how he navigates traffic within the first eight yards of the line of scrimmage. He sifts through would be tacklers, identifies developing gaps and hits them with urgency.

There is patience in how he sets up his blocks, but once he recognizes an opening, there is no hesitation. He gets north and south quickly and has the acceleration to turn those opportunities into explosive gains.

He looks like a senior with the way he is handling this workload and generating this level of production, despite still being a junior.

I seriously think Marshall-Speights is worthy of a spot inside the top 200 prospects in Pennsylvania’s 2028 class, especially if he continues producing at this level.

Between his improved physical profile, nearly 800 yards from scrimmage, eight total touchdowns and the versatility he is showing as both a runner and receiver, there is more than enough here to justify another look at his ranking.

He is making a strong case for an elevation, and I’m excited to see how much more he can accomplish before the season ends.

Marshall-Speights did an outstanding job stifling his matchup out of the backfield, completely suffocating him so he could not press upfield whatsoever.

He never goes down from one tackler, as he powers through them. He also has good speed, and once he gets into the open field, he is off to the races. Another aspect of his game that is good is his patience. He waits for the hole to open, and then he explodes through it. Marshall-Speights is a capable running back who has the potential to improve further.

His ability to make defenders miss is excellent. He has a quickness and a burst when he runs with the ball. He also shows a physical running ability to run through tackles. When he gets into the open field, he is off to the races. Marshall-Speights has had a monster season so far, and the sky’s the limit for him.
