Under-the-Radar Ohio Defensive Playmakers Making Big Strides

Today we feature four prospects in the Buckeye State who are flying under-the-radar in recruiting but are making big impacts on their high school teams in the fall. These prospects, across several different class years, have little-to-no offers or recruiting attention and deserve a look at their most-recent film. Here they are:    Hassan Kaba is an under-the-radar two-way prospect who excels as a run defender at safety and is a good receiver who adjusts to the ball and makes acrobatic catches. His size presents match-up problems for opposing defenses. At defensive back he can be a thumper in the run game, landing hits in space. Just before posting this, he picked up his first Division I offer from Howard, so Kaba is unlikely to stay under-the-radar for much longer.     [player_tooltip player_id='1721005' first='Ja'Mari' last='Alston'] is an explosive defensive back who is quick to break on the ball and very athletic. Tall and long-limbed, he has strong coverage skills and has proven he can take the ball after interceptions to set up his offense in good field position. He holds just one offer from Capital.     Amare Mitchell is a talented edge prospect; he picked up his first offer from Toledo. Many defensive ends around the country possess his measurables and have Power 4 offers, while he does not. Mitchell has a quick first step, is very good at dipping his shoulder and turning the corner, and has a good long-arm technique to create separation from blockers off the edge. Keep a close watch on his development.     Brown is around the ball. Whether he is scooping up fumbles, making interceptions or landing big hits, the safety prospect who also plays running back lets his athleticism shine. Brown is physical, tough, possess great closing speed and range, and has natural instincts for the position. He was brought to our attention by a Division I college GM, so some are taking notice of his talents.
