A speedy wide receiver and punt returner, [player_tooltip player_id='1616459' first='Drew' last='Bennis'] caught five passes for 61 yards and returned a punt for 15 yards on Friday night and seemingly was underused. A laterally quick wide receiver that showed wildly good ball skills this summer, Bennis is a weapon in the slot and when give space to work. One of [player_tooltip player_id='458050' first='Cael' last='Kongshaug']'s top targets through the air, Bennis should start popping up on FCS radars thanks to his performances this season. He'll have a chance to pop at camps next summer, too.

The latest commit in Iowa's 2026 recruiting class, [player_tooltip player_id='1361747' first='David' last='Fason'] is a uniquely athletic defensive tackle that plays with violence and consistent pursuit of the ball. One of the notable plays he made in front of defensive line coach, Kelvin Bell on Friday night was his pursuit of the ball to the sideline on an outside run, where he made the tackle at the line of scrimmage. A constant playmaker on the defensive interior, Fason totaled seven tackles, including a sack and 3.5 tackles-for-loss (TFLs).

A running back whose future in college football will be contingent on what position he decides to pursue, [player_tooltip player_id='1361313' first='Dawson' last='Kahl'] is one of the top RBs in the state. With quick feet laterally, the ability to burst through holes in the offensive line with no hesitation and run through tackles, Kahl is a complete back that serves as the bell cow of the Prairie offense. Putting together 27 carries for 155 yards and a touchdown on Friday night, Kahl was the engine that made the Prairie offense go against Bettendorf.

One of the more impactful defenders or the Prairie Hawks, Wesley Koppes made a few key plays that kept his team in the contest with the Bulldogs. Early in the game with the Bettendorf offense moving down the field, the Bulldogs took a shot to put them in the redzone, but Koppes adjusted to a throw that looked to be misfired, turned and caught the ball over his shoulder for the first turnover of the evening. He added five tackles in the secondary.

Another effective DB and playmaker for Cedar Rapids Prairie, [player_tooltip player_id='1216911' first='Max' last='Schwieger'] posted a pass-breakup while defending Bettendorf's best receiver, that would have converted a third and long. He also grabbed an interception in the endzone after Bettendorf recovered a Prairie fumble deep in their own territory. Though Prairie didn't come out victorious, they wouldn't have had a shot late in the game if it weren't for Schwieger's heroics.
