Scouting Notes: 7 Prospects I Watched in Week 4

Here are the prospects I watched in week 4, including some senior sleepers producing at a very high level.    I am playing a little catch-up on [player_tooltip player_id='1090799' first='Hudson' last='Hulett'], who has been nothing short of incredible the first part of his senior season. He is producing all over the field and projects long-term as an RB. Stout is an explosive, stout athlete who can power through arm tackles and stay on his feet through contact. He is more quick than he is fast, using his short-area quickness to create his own yards. Hulett would be an intriguing late addition for some D1 schools.     [player_tooltip player_id='1577115' first='Nolan' last='Matthews'] has been a hidden gem in northeast Georgia despite production and ridiculous speed metrics. He has been clocked on the GPS as high as 25 (!) MPH. If that isn't reliable enough for you, he also PR'd at 10.91 in the 100M. You can't argue against his speed, which shows up on tape. If given a lane to the endzone, he will hit it and outrun angles. He is a straight-line burner who doesn't peel off his path. He has a sturdy frame and is willing to take on contact. Matthews should fall into the lap of a small school that doesn't often get access to his caliber of speed.     Clark is a thin, athletic EDGE prospect who is among the most productive players in the state at the position. Clark is a speed rusher with plenty of growth potential. He is quick off the line, can bend, and is athletic enough to mirror ball carriers in the backfield. He has plenty of room to add weight, which will help him add speed to power as he grows. Clark is breaking out as a senior and has D1 traits at the position.     Mason is a stout, well-developed IDL prospect with impressive athletic traits and pursuit skills for his size. He plays the role of plugger well, driving blockers onto their heels and denting the pocket in the middle. However, he is capable of athletically shedding off his blocks and chasing the football around the field, which offers him plenty of value at his position. Mason has received some D1 buzz, and I see why after my first look at him.     Schlieman is a popular player for me at this point, but I felt the need to go back and watch his breakout junior tape up to this point. Schlieman has a lot of horsepower at the QB spot, which comes from his stout, muscled-up frame. Schlieman has easy arm strength and can attack each level of the field. He can tap into different arm angles and operates well on the move. When everything clicks, he throws one of the prettier balls in the state. I am expecting him to continue growing as a QB prospect and could even see D1 programs enter the mix soon.     Price is a breakout player for Lassiter who is one of the most productive pass catchers in the state through the first few weeks. Price is a decent athlete with some projectable traits, but he is a smooth operator and wins with spatial awareness and reliability. He gets open and has the ball skills to execute when he gets a chance. Price has been a popular target for Lassiter, and I expect that to continue as the year goes on.     Andrew Rowe is a sleeper out of River Ridge who has been highly productive against the ball through a few weeks, totaling 3 INTs and several PBUs. His ball skills are fantastic, and he has proven capable of creating takeaways while laying out for the ball and climbing the ladder. He is a good athlete, checks the frame boxes for a DB, and remains patient in coverage to float around the top of routes. Given his size, age, and production, Rowe should continue receiving buzz, given proper exposure.
