Region 2 Breakouts to Know

Let's dive in to Region 2 and give you players that you need to have on your radars.    McKrae is an exceptional talent and he's quickly ascending the pecking order at Mountain Ridge. He's a receiver who is good off the line, has good footwork, and is a receiver that easily creates separation. He's a twitchy athlete who is exceptional after the catch and showcasing his creativity. He's a fluid athlete with good hip sink and is exceptional with in and out breaking routes. His double moves will make him a playmaker, and he'll do a good job making the corner bite and then win over the top. He wins at all three levels and is deadly as a returner. He'll be a Power-Four recruit, and he has an exceptional ceiling.     Sika has a basketball background and is fairly new to the WR position. He has plenty of room to grow, and he uses his athleticism to win. He has a good feel for the game, knows where to sit in zone coverages and will go get the ball. He is good at ball-tracking and high pointing the ball. Even with his rawness, he debuted at 81 in our final preseason rankings for the 2027 class. He has an exceptional ceiling and is still refining his craft.     Monson is an excellent athlete and a playmaker. He can be an EDGE rusher or an on-ball backer. His duality allows him to never have to come off the field. He has excellent traits. He is quick off the line, has the hip bend necessary to win around the edge and shows good overall speed and athletic movement. He has good lateral quickness and is an explosive athlete. He does a good job shedding his blocks and overwhelming his defender. He's an excellent prospect and has traits that will play on Saturday's. A D1 prospect.     Samisoni is an exceptional prospect. He already possesses a frame for the next level. Large, broad shoulders, good size ankles and a frame that will carry his weight extremely well. He will be best as a defensive tackle and could even play offensive tackle. He is quick off the line for someone of his frame, shows good quickness and violent hands. He shows good strength and physicality to his game and is a disruptor as an inside rusher. He overwhelms his blocker and is too big, athletic, and quick for most IOL to take him on one on one. He is good against the run and is a player that will develop nicely over the years. True Power-Four potential. Excellent traits.     Ethan has been an effective signal caller. He's done well minimizing mistakes and has made good decisions. His processing time has improved as the season has gone on and his ball placement has improved. He shows good pocket mobility and can extend the play with his legs. He does well with intermediate throws and will continue to improve as the season goes on.     Nu'u has made an impact as a defensive tackle this year. He has good size, shows physicality and strength, and has done a good job of winning against his IOL. He's created chaos and gotten into the backfield and disrupted plays before they've had a chance to develop. It'll be interesting if he develops into a two-way player next year or if he stays on the defensive side. Plenty of traits to like.     Bennett has done an exceptional job in developing his traits and becoming a dependable target and a big play threat. He can work in the slot or one of the boundary options and does well winning short and intermediate. He's not afraid to work the middle and keeps developing the vertical routes.     Aden has done a nice job earning the trust of the coaching staff and being part of the rotation with the defensive line. He does a good job of getting off the line with a plan on beating his blocker and has good speed and shows a high motor. He has good traits to develop into a full time player.     Zealand has been exceptional this year and showcasing great traits. He has good speed and range. He will make a play on the ball and is a player with good hip fluidity and does well sticking to his receiver. He's a developing defensive back who has good instincts and has a great ceiling.     Cole has been exceptional this season. He's a versatile defensive back who can play either safety position and can be a cover corner if needed but he is best as a box safety where he can support in the run game, get after the quarterback and bring pressures from multiple areas. When being free to move around, he can read and react. He shows good instincts and has been a tremendous player on defense which has allowed Mountain Ridge to play freely and aggressively.
