After hearing about his rise up at the Bemidji State team camp this summer, I had been waiting to see when Kobe's break out game came out in which it did last Friday night. I love what I see on tape as far as the awareness Kobe has around the first down markers and he has hte agility on course with his route-running to break off and get seperation quick. There also is a persistent high level of speed on his routes that you see on tape that has really broken out this summer into this year. Looking for a senior bloomer in the Dakotas at wide receiver? Kobe is the first name that comes to mind.

Zach has been a 2028 out of Minot Bishop Ryan that as we sit here at midseason, has taken a sizable jump from what the upside has shown since he was an 8th grader. The 5'8 165 pounder we have seen it most with his burst and agility as I would love to see where Zach's pro agility and 40-yard dash comes out at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase that comes up in early December. For his size, you can also tell Zach has gotten more fluid and balance thru contact with the ball in his hands. Could he be pressing as the RB1 in the 2028 class? I guess we will find out soon.

The floodgates have started to open for Dunseith 2027 target [player_tooltip player_id='1850988' first='Nelson' last='Decoteau']. He just took a gameday visit last week to NDSU and since then has gotten more Missouri Valley schools in the Dakotas that have caught wind of his skillsets and size. He had another stellar week last week and is getting more twitchy off the snap from the top of his route. Yes, it's clear that it takes asmall-gang of defenders to get Nelson down after contact and that shows evident on tape where you see five defenders still struggle to get him to the turf. You can tell the confidence Nelson is growing with his hands surely, as one that I suspect will not be a small town hidden gem for long.

Another 2027 that has grown their stock a bunch in the 2025 season has been [player_tooltip player_id='1319848' first='Benet' last='Giesler'] and it's come from a different position than where I had him evaluated as. The light has been shined for Benet at fullback for Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm as his 5'11 200 pound frame has bouldered yards after contact throughout the season and you see it quickly in his Week 5 tape. Benet in my eyes is also getting more fluid from start to finish which is a good sign and the instinctive vision seems to be another skillset that has grown since start of the season when watching his tape. He's one I see up a good chunk of spots in this 2027 class.

Make that back to back athletes from this week's Big Dogs of the Week that have thrived at their other position as a two-way prospect as Divide County's Stockton Nelson has logged nearly 450 rushing yards in the last two weeks. He's been pretty much untouchable on the outside edges these past couple of weeks and that was no different this week. Stockton has developed this season in my eyes with his vision as he's gotten more patient each week between the tackles. I also like on tape how the burst comes out persistently in the second level when Stockton sees open field. If you are looking for a small school hidden gem in this 2026 class, Stockton could be a good one.

Charlie is now the leader in 11A in rushing yards and touchdowns as this was a 2026 target that I thought had a sound summer on the camp trail and has hopefully reeled college coaches back in as we hit midseason and the Thompson running back is having a superb one. The 5'10 190 pounder is one that I feel his best production comes from hard-earned yards and yards after contact, which is why I still can't believe he doesn't have his first offer yet as those two skillsets should lead in evaluation as far as the on-field evaluation and obviously Charlie's measurables and testing numbers check the boxes too. Might I add that I feel Charlie has gotten more fluid with his change of direction as there's more natural movement when he makes his first cut especially. Charlie is surely is a great fit as an NSIC target.
