This is Jace's second time on our offensive Big Dogs of the Week list and I can only fathom that this sophomore is going to be on here frequently over the next coming years as the Ray-Powers Lake quarterback keeps thriving week after week. Last week against Minot Bishop Ryan was no different, the amount of poise Jace continues to show throwing outside of the pocket on all three levels was a difference maker in Minot. He found tight windows that only his WR could find as you can trell that Jace surely has chemistry with his receiving core which is especially seen with 2029 top WR target [player_tooltip player_id='1740349' first='Ty' last='Barman']. Jace is certainly pushing the button to be the QB1 in this 2028 QB class.

Another QB2 this time in the 2027 who had a stellar week and has been a Big Dog of the Week in the past, is Central Cass's [player_tooltip player_id='1292702' first='Brody' last='Kegley']. What's been intriguing growth wise for Brody, is how much quicker this season he has gotten to his second read especially on intermediate routes. Also the speed of Brody's release on those intermediate and deep routes have gotten quicker which tells me that the game is slowing down for him in his junior season with the Squirrels. There's plenty of sound QB play in 11AA and Brody appears to be in that top-tier for sure

We have a new name alert out of Minot North this week, which is 2027 running back [player_tooltip player_id='1893242' first='Cooper' last='Chick']. The PSP Network named him the Sports Clips MVP for the number one ranked Sentinels in 11AA. Getting my first look this week, there plenty to like with Coopers patient which lights up right away when I roll the tape. The 5'7 170 pounder with his frame alone can sneak in between the tackles and the tape confirms that is the type of runner that Cooper has been thus far for Minot North. I also am intrigued with how Cooper accelerates out of the inside box as the sudden burst he has almost fires out of nowhere in a sense. Surely a 2027 that needs to get onto our ND rankings.

Sawyer's offensive position flexibility continues to be a bright spot for the Kindred Vikings, as Sawyer logged two touchdowns in their 34-7 win over Bismarck St. Mary's. You can tell Sawyer worked his tail off over the summer with his speed and agility as it's clear as day that he's more twitchy with his change of direction while still having balance to bounce in between the tacklers. Sawyer in my eyes is one of the hidden gems in this 2026 class that should be playing on Saturdays as he's gotten better every week thus and is a positional mismatch.

Another big week for the Ray-Powers Lake Outlaws, as #1 overall target in our 2029 class [player_tooltip player_id='1740349' first='Ty' last='Barman'] finds himself for the second time on our Offensive Big Dogs of the Week. Take one look at the body control that Ty shows off on his deep ball reception from [player_tooltip player_id='1452278' first='Jace' last='Becker'] and you will see why Ty is the best athlete in this North Dakota class, as he just became the #1 overall prospect on our Prep Hoops as well which is intriguing. I don't think we have had a multi-time Big Dog of the Week in their freshman season in the Dakotas since we launched in 2020 so that might be worth noting as we have had a lot of Big Dogs of the Week over the the years.

The big games keep coming for Dunseith 2027 tight end [player_tooltip player_id='1850988' first='Nelson' last='Decoteau']. In Week 4 he went for six receptions and 131 receiving yards for the Dragons offense. Yes, you will see the absurd wingspan on the 6'8 215 pounder on the first clip as I would love to know what that number is at the moment as it one of the longest ones I have seen in the Dakotas surely in this 2027 class. Nelso also appears to have soft hands but still with plenty of upside as a route-runner that boosts the fluidity to get even smoother.
