of Central Cass. Brody has developed nicely over the last couple of years for the Squirrels offense by creating more balance with his touch and arm strength and surely excels in the precision skillset. The now 6’0 170 pounder, I feel might make some of the tougher throws you will see on intermediate routes in this group as his timing when under duress with his wide receivers is just about spot on especially when he and the Squirrels offense are in the red zone. Hope to see more live reps out of this young man over the coming months at camps.

Another QB2 this time in the 2027 who had a stellar week and has been a Big Dog of the Week in the past, is Central Cass’s

. What’s been intriguing growth wise for Brody, is how much quicker this season he has gotten to his second read especially on intermediate routes. Also the speed of Brody’s release on those intermediate and deep routes have gotten quicker which tells me that the game is slowing down for him in his junior season with the Squirrels. There’s plenty of sound QB play in 11AA and Brody appears to be in that top-tier for sure

Brody is our current QB2 in the North Dakota 2027 class and had a stellar Week 1 performance against Watford City. He went 13/18 passing (over 72% CP) 223 passing yards and 2 touchdowns. Where this young man has grown from a year ago that I saw in Week 1 is with his pocket awareness, as Brody appears more instinctive getting out of jams with his legs and still maintaining the ideal poise you want at the quarterback position. His first clip on tape also shows great ball placement in a tight window on a deep route that got the Squirrels in the end zone. His second touchdown of the day shows that instinct that I was referencing, as he showed off a quick release after seeing the significant opening downfield with his wide receiver on an intermediate route for touchdown number two on the day. He’s certainly take a step forward too with his mechanics which I will keep my eyes on too this season.

, who is our QB1 in the 2027 class and has certainly continued to show why. Logging four passing touchdowns in Week 4 against Lisbon, I like Brody’s raw awareness getting out of a jam in the pocket and quick release to find a wide open target in the end zone showing off great athleticism and growing awareness. He also shows off good precision for his age on intermidate routes which was shown well-versed in his Week 4 tape. The constant quick progressions on deep routes is only going to keep grooming this young man’s talents quickly as the Squirrels week by week, keeping adding prospects to our Big Dogs of the Week this season.
