Dalton's Top Performers vs. Rabun County

<p>The Dalton Catamounts hosted yet another home game on Friday, as the Dalton Catamounts were chasing their first win of the football season. They have been one of the better offensive teams, but their defense has been underwhelming.</p>   <p>Their defense had a better effort in the second half of the game, but they still didn't get it done, as they lost in a narrow fashion yet again. Despite losing their second home game of the season, the Catamounts still had many great performances to be proud of.</p>   <p>Here are the top performers from Friday night for Dalton High School.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">A ball player, to say the least. He is someone that you can expect to be on his A-Game every Friday, and he had yet another great performance. he had five touchdowns on the day, as he is someone that continues to add to his total, as he is nearing the top of the leaderboards in passing yards and touchdowns. Woods is someone who can dominate the deep game like no other, but in his Sophomore year, the Catamounts QB has been able to use his legs more, which is huge. He has been able to make plays happen when they shouldn't, as Woods has been the master of making something out of nothing in the North Georgia area.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/calebsisk_/status/1964152703384215732?s=61 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Evans had the best game of his high school season on Friday, as he was able to get the job done down the pipe. He was best when they were attempting to run inside. Evans is someone who has been trusted to be a leader at the second level, and he has embraced that role. There have been major developmental things that should be talked about, as he continues to get better every game. Still needs to put size in, but that will come with him only being a Sophomore.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">There is a reason Long is a captain for this team. he has been able to see the field on both offense and defense, but mainly the defensive side. He is extremely talented on the interior of the second level. He is the most athletic linebacker in the area and is someone who has a lot of upside. He has great size to him and is a great run stopper. Truly a good football player that will only get better as he grows in this Dalton system.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Smith is an offensive weapon. He is someone who plays with a lot of physicality and has a lot of physical upside. He is best used as a running back, but has been used as a WR on the outside. He can beat you deep or get you on the ground. I am more of a fan when it comes to him being a running back, as he has shown his fight-like ability to extend a play when needed. Smith is one of the few Seniors the Catamounts will be losing, and he will be the biggest loss, as he is their best running back at this time.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/calebsisk_/status/1964114859378856223?s=61 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Searels was doing Searels things. He was very physical, and his height was an advantage. Unfortunately, his snaps were limited, as he left the game with a shoulder injury in the first half. That didn't stop him from getting two touchdowns in the half, though, as his deep ball ability remains the best on this team.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/calebsisk_/status/1964122415098642894?s=61 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Summey was the two-way player of the game, as he got valuable snaps on the defense as well as in the slot. He utilized his speed across the middle, as his presence is more valuable than most, as you have to play a defensive back on Summey, or you will be tortured trying to play a linebacker on him. Summey was the best tackler on the team in the Rabun County game, especially at the third level, which has been getting beaten up all year long. His speed and his tackling allowed him to make great plays on the defensive side. He was a primary piece in the special teams once again, despite a fumble. He is one of the shiftiest players in the state, and a college program will get a steal in his recruitment.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1844024' first='Kamdon' last='London'] is one of the better outside prospects in the country. He continues to be among the best 2027 WRs thanks to his very friendly offensive system and pure physical traits. He is one of the better 50/50 ball receivers and is someone who concentrates with his hands and feet like no other. Every time I see this kid, he gets bigger. He was putting the ball in the back of the end zone, which is exactly what you would want. He has a big leg and much control over the ball. He is one of the better special teams players in the state of Georgia.</p>
