With the majority of the state on bye weeks and inclement weather forcing a shuffled schedule, Week 6 in the Carolina Recruit Region looked a little different. Some games were played on Thursday night, others stretched into the weekend, and a few have yet to be completed. But even with a lighter slate, several players delivered huge offensive performances that stood out across the region.

Jamarae “Bubba” Lamb (RB, Wallace-Rose Hill, Senior) continued his hot streak with another dominant outing, needing just 10 carries to rack up 192 yards and a touchdown. Lamb's explosiveness set the tone early and reminded everyone why he's among the most feared backs in the state. His production has gone hand in hand with Wallace-Rose Hill's resurgence this season — after battling through injuries and dropping two of their three losses by just one score, the Bulldogs are finding their stride again, and Lamb's bounce-back performance was a driving force. As he goes, so does Wallace, and right now both are trending in the right direction.

[player_tooltip player_id='1687440' first='Wesley' last='Tew'] (ATH, Midway, c/o 2028) is quickly becoming one of the top names to know in his class, and Week 5 was another reminder of why. Despite limited touches, Tew delivered a monster performance with 6 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown, continuing the dominant streak he's been on all season. His blend of speed, vision, and playmaking ability has made him nearly impossible to contain, and even as an underclassman, he's already emerging as one of the most exciting all-around athletes in the Carolina Recruits region.

Tanner Williams (QB, Midway, Junior) has been on an absolute heater, and Week 5 was another example of his efficiency and explosiveness. Williams only attempted 4 passes, completing 3 for 123 yards — with 2 going for touchdowns — and added 4 carries for 57 yards and another score on the ground. What makes this stretch even more impressive is that it comes right after his six-touchdown, nearly 500-yard performance last week, showing that he's finding ways to impact games whether in high-volume shootouts or low-volume, big-play situations. Williams is emerging as one of the most dynamic junior quarterbacks in the region, and his recent surge has put Midway firmly on the map.

Jeremiah Hall (RB, James Kenan, Senior) once again showed his trademark efficiency, making the most of every touch in his team's Week 5 win. Despite only getting 4 carries, Hall turned them into 83 yards and 2 touchdowns, flashing the same playmaking ability that has defined his career at James Kenan. Hall has built a reputation as a player who always produces when his number is called, and this weekend was no different — proving that even in limited opportunities, he can change the game with explosive plays and reliable finishing ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1865522' first='Desyn' last='Durand'] (WR, Hoggard, Junior) has been one of the biggest surprises of the East this season, emerging as a go-to weapon for the undefeated Hoggard Vikings. The explosive route runner once again delivered in Week 5, hauling in 6 catches for 99 yards and 2 touchdowns. Durand's ability to consistently create separation and turn targets into points has made him a steady force in Hoggard's offense. His rise has been a major factor in the Vikings' perfect start, and if his hot streak continues, he'll be firmly in the conversation as one of the region's breakout wide receivers of 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='1678657' first='Matthew' last='Boring'] (QB, Hoggard, Junior) continues to play like one of the very best quarterbacks in North Carolina, regardless of class or region. In Week 5, he once again delivered a clean, efficient outing, going 20-of-26 for 233 yards and 3 touchdowns while guiding the undefeated Vikings to another victory. Boring's consistency has been remarkable — he makes smart reads, avoids costly mistakes, and capitalizes on scoring chances with precision. His command of the offense and ability to put up numbers week after week has firmly established him as one of the premier signal-callers in the state.

Murray was the go-to weapon in the passing attack, hauling in 10 receptions for 225 yards and a touchdown, stretching the field and keeping the offense alive in critical moments. His size, hands, and ability to create mismatches made him unstoppable, and this performance not only fueled a hard-fought win but also highlighted just how valuable he is to West Carteret's offense.
