6A Risers

Let's take a look at some risers in the 6A classification. Who are players that are taking a massive jump in the rankings?    Mountain Ridge had a brutal start to the season and Jaxon came out of that for the better. He has put together back to back solid games where he looks poised, stands tall in the pocket, has command of the offense and is delivery the ball to the correct receiver and the right read. He gets to his second read and will move the chains with his feet. The offense is in its infancy and Jaxon is putting everything together. His processing rate has picked up and does well keeping the ball out of danger. He throws a nice ball and has a good delivery. He should dominate region play.     Ethan has looked more and more comfortable and now that region play is upon us, he has his feet under him and looks better with each passing week. He has improved with his ball placement and the game has slowed down for him. He's making better processing choices and he does well in moving within the pocket. He is best when he can throw on the run and escape the pocket. Plenty of upside.     Prince has done well in being the lead back. He's been effective and shows good vision behind the line. He has good contact balance to survive initial contact and will continue to gain additional yards and fall forward. He's been effective in short yard situations and setting the team up with getting ahead of the chains. He shows a good burst and isn't afraid of contact, good physicality.     Luke has been one of the best defensive players for Layton. He is quick off the line and reacts well. He has good tackling form and has been a key players. He's an active backer and does well avoiding being bogged down in traffic. He's a playmaker on the Layton defense.     Samisoni has exceptional size and will continue to grow into his frame. Has good, broad shoulders, and long limbs. He'll carry his weight well. Samisoni is a physical player who moves well athletically. He's not a stiff mover and shows good lateral quickness. His hands are quick and active, he uses his traits to gain position and leverage over his lineman and finishes them off. He's an exceptional talent with a great ceiling. D1 offers will be coming his way.     Tevita has been excellent in a hybrid STAR position this year where he can roam and be close to the line of scrimmage. He is a physical player with an excellent burst and showcases good lateral and athletic movement. His physical style of play over the middle sets the tempo for the defense and he's a big time prospect that should garner late D1 offers.
