Playing on Junior Varsity for St. Joseph's Prep, you see the talent with Towns. His arm is strong, as he can throw the ball with high accuracy. His footwork is solid, but this is an area that he can improve on. His size (6'3") is great for a quarterback, so he can scan over the field and throw the ball. His mechanics are good in the pocket, with his ability to sit in the pocket and throw the ball. He also shows a good ability to get out of the pocket and scramble when the play breaks down. Starting as a Freshman on Varsity, he has played well this season. In the pocket, he has excellent mechanics and footwork. He throws a beautiful ball, as he always knows where to throw the ball. Outside the pocket, he is a good athlete who does a good job of running with the ball. He is also good at sprint-out pass plays, where he throws on the run well. Playing on the Junior Varsity level this year for Archbishop Wood, you see that talent from Hamilton. He has a strong arm, and he shows it off on deep balls. His ability to put the perfect amount of touch on the ball is excellent. He also shows a strong arm when he needs to fit it in between defenders and needs to put some juice on the ball. Hamilton prefers to stay in the pocket, but if the play breaks down, he has no problem scrambling to find his open receivers. He is a true dual-threat quarterback as he is a good running quarterback. He is excellent at reading his keys on zone read run plays, and if the defensive end crashes, he does a nice job of running with the ball. He is also good at quarterback runs like QB power. As a thrower of the football, he has solid mechanics and throws the ball well. He is also good at throwing the ball on the run. As a Freshman, he is playing as a starting outside linebacker for Steel Valley. As an outside linebacker, he shows a good ability to play in space. His ability to read and react to the play and make plays in the run and pass game is excellent. I love how he chases plays all over the field. He has also played spot duty as a quarterback. He shows an excellent ability to run the ball from the quarterback position. Keys has a chance to be a good quarterback down the road, but as of now, he plays as an outside linebacker with spot duty at quarterback.
