Will Klein has promising JV highlights and several traits that will transfer well at the varsity level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm impressed with Will's diversity of highlights. I see a lot of JV players only being utilized in a couple of ways, but it seems that Will has experience in several areas. For one, he's got those speed in space plays. The third play on tape shows Will receive the handoff on a very well-blocked reverse. He easily takes it to the house. <br>Then, you've got plays like 1:12. This play shows a go route into the endzone. 1:33 shows a hitch. First play on tape shows Brody lay a huge hit on a receiver in the flat. His teammates started the play by wrapping the receiver up, and Brody did a great job sprinting to finish the job. Next, a great job reading, reacting, and instantly attacking the inside run. That's exactly the play speed I love to see. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Honestly, this is a really good tape. Brody tends to hit hard and react quickly. Cole does an excellent job keeping his man in front of him and staying balanced. This can be seen in all pass pro highlights- although technique can be improved, Cole gets the job done more often than not. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cole is a good run blocker. On down blocks, I like his first step. He does a great job getting hands on the defender and using his momentum to drive him out of the play. 0:16 demonstrates an excellent combo block. The QB ends up hesitating, leading to a sack. Next, another good attack. This time, against a designed QB run. All in all, Tanner flashes as an off-ball linebacker. This season, perhaps as a full-time varsity starter, I'm expecting much faster reaction and better play speed. His first three highlights showcase three impressive interceptions. The first pick is the most impressive- Griffin makes an outstretched 1-handed grab, and you can see his sideline explode in joy. Then, his second and third picks are great catches on underthrows. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Plus, Griffin is a solid tackler. Gets low, does best to wrap. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This season, I'd like to see even better play speed against the run.
