The season is on the horizon, and with that comes an informal farewell and a brand new "hello!" to the Class of 2027. We thought we'd do a quick breakdown/series of some quick evaluations of top prospects in Ohio for the next week, and what those players bring to the table to their respective college teams.

At 6-foot-7, 280 pounds, Congdon has a frame that can't be coached. He has played both offensive tackle and defensive end. His size can overwhelm opponents no matter where he lines up. I could see Congdon adding bulk and becoming an interior defensive tackle who can plug the middle against the run and be very disruptive for Miami.

Singleton is a great defensive back and is a composite four-star prospect across all major recruiting websites for good reason. Tall with lengthy arms, he is very good in coverage, can play press and be physical receivers. He has elite ball skills at cornerback, stays in phase and undercuts routes. Texas A&M gets a keeper in Singleton who has huge upside as a recruit.

Ricketts is a strong two-way prospect with good ball skills on both offense and defense. At corner he uses his length well to break up passes and snatch interceptions. On offense, he is a legitimate vertical threat in the passing game. Ohio State is getting a keeper in this 6-foot, 195-pound prospect.

Clapper is an explosive, twitchy and very instinctive linebacker who flies to the ball. He is a strong pass rusher with great edge speed. Clapper has a tall and lengthy frame with plenty of room to grow at Notre Dame, and the Irish are getting a clear blue-chip prospect with loads of potential.
