Scouting Notes: Prospects I Watched in Week 3

Parker completed 8/15 passes for 178 yards and 2 TDs, while also being dangerous on the ground. Parker is well-rounded and well-developed for his age. He has a quick release, clean mechanics, and does a good job climbing the pocket to escape and move the chains. He added another TD on the ground. He looks to have the frame of a younger player with plenty of physical development left in the tank. His off-platform and on-the-move skills offer a good launching point for his development. He can put some heat on the ball and is elastic/athletic enough to push the ball downfield with and without a clean base. Mullins has a long, lean frame at 6'0 200 and carries that weight well with ample room to add more mass and play strength. Mullins is an elusive back who identifies running lanes early, puts his head down, and takes advantage of them. There is no nonsense to his game, and he doesn't deviate from the run path. Needs re-eval in the fall." Regardless, his frame and basketball background are what had my attention. Now that he has film, we have something to evaluate. Boyd plays in a triple-option style offense, so most of his damage is done as a runner, although he is absolutely a WR projection. He is still lanky and raw in his movements, but his long strides eat up grass and help him maintain separation down the field. I wouldn't call his short-area quickness elite, but he has experience taking advantage of cutback opportunities and consistently creates yards for himself. Boyd is a massive hidden gem and will only get better. He comes in listed at 6'4 185, and has impressive running metrics from the camp setting this offseason. The physique is impressive, and it's clear he has some giddy up. He is raw, and I would like to see more film down the stretch. He will get a re-eval from me and will remain on my board due to the impressive traits.
