I’ve been beating the drum for Boyd for probably a year now, and my stance still stands. I just really find it hard to believe he will go the course of his recruitment without receiving much attention. He is too traitsy and has too much upside for that to happen. He is a unique player who gets most of his reps as a ball carrier, where his long strides make him hard to chase down. Still, he has the size and functional athleticism to act as a mismatch threat outside; now, someone just needs to believe in that function of his game.

Boyd is still creeping onto the radar, and you can’t argue against what he shows on tape. He is a tall, lean 6’2 185. Projects out as an outside threat at receiver, but in his current offense, he gets plenty of reps as a ball carrier. Has plenty of juice in space with the ball, and his long strides make him hard to catch. He will benefit from camping in person this summer, where he can be seen consistently running routes against DBs. I have always thought this kid would eventually break out, given his traits.

Boyd, way up in Haralson County, surprisingly escaped the January contact period quietly. I have been tracking this kid closely for about a year now. He is a tall, well-developed player who is better in space than most receivers at his size. plays more of a gadget-type role and proves difficult to bring down in space. Looks like he sinks his weight well at the top of his routes. I think this kid will benefit from camp season.

Boyd jumped on my radar this offseason and has done nothing but produce at a high level. He is in a well-covered area of the state for us. Here is what I had to say on him earlier this season:

I wouldn’t call his short-area quickness elite, but he has experience taking advantage of cutback opportunities and consistently creates yards for himself. Boyd is a massive hidden gem and will only get better. He is rocketing up my board.”

Boyd is another player we have been highly anticipating breaking out since his standout middle school days. The 6’3 195 ATH added some muscle over the past year and a half and has a stellar start to the ’25 season. Boyd had 368 all purpose yards week 1, 5 carries for 118 yds , 3 catches for 68 yds, and had 182 return yards, scoring 4 total TDs. He followed that up Week 2 with 200+ yds and scored 2 more TDs in a 28-0 win. Outstanding film that shows he has that “twitch” for a player his size. Good natural instincts with the ball in his hands. IMO he is a lock P4 recruit.

Boyd is an intriguing WR that already posses good size at 6’2 185 and skill set to be a next level prospect. Long and lean with a big catch radius and good hands. Does a great job at using his size advantage to shield smaller defenders. Plays his high school ball at Haralson Co, a team not traditionally known for putting the ball in the air a ton, but Boyd made the most of his opportunities last Fall with some long receptions in traffic. The former NextGen MVP is flying under the radar right now but will not be for long.
