Prep Redzone AL's 2025 Preseason All-State Team: RB Selections

We've made it to August! With the season quickly approaching, it's time for us to give our preseason All-State selections!   Today, we're focusing on some of the most dominant RBs in the state!   You won't want to miss out on this group of talent. Be sure to check out their film below. Now, here are our preseason selections:   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">7A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1018700' first='AJ' last='Alexander']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/aj-alexander/"></a> is an explosive RB out of Dothan who's consistently dominated each year of his career, making him our selection in the 7A.   “Alexander plays with terrific speed and elusiveness, great vision, and a lot of toughness that allows him to make huge plays on the ground. Alexander does a great job finding open lanes and navigating his way through defenses- he rarely takes on contact and can find yardage every carry he gets.“   A little while back, Alexander announced he'd committed to North Alabama! It's been awesome covering Alexander over the last few years- I'm sure he'll continue to find great success this fall and at UNA.   Last fall, Alexander recorded 214 carries for 1519 yards and 14 TDs on the ground.   Make sure you check out some of Alexander's tape below:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">6A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='401112' first='Mike' last='Jones']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/mike-jones/"></a> is a dominant RB out of Pike Road who was our obvious choice in the 6A, he's been unreal over the last few seasons.   “Jones plays with a ton of speed and twitch and is explosive out of the backfield- once he gets the ball, he quickly reaches his top speed and leaves defenders in the dust. When you pair his speed with his elusiveness and change of direction, he can easily make defenders miss and carve up massive gains on the ground in the open field.   It doesn't end there. Jones also makes a ton of contributions in the passing game, consistently being a reliable target for his quarterback and racking up extra yardage after the catch.“   A while back, Jones committed to Ole Miss! Jones is a talented player everyone should have their eyes on going into this fall- he's got a bright future ahead of him.   Last fall, Jones racked up 260 carries for 1443 yards and 17 TDs on the ground.   Watch out for Jones this fall, and in the meantime, take a look at this film below:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">5A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='401124' first='Le'Kamren' last='Meadows']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/lekamren-meadows/"></a> is a talented RB out of Moody who's landed as our pick in the 5A after what he accomplished last fall.   “Meadows is a tough back to stop. He's extremely patient, has great vision, and consistently finds wide-open rushing lanes to move the ball through. At 6'0 210, Meadows plays with impressive speed, twitch, and contact balance that help him dominate defenses every snap. At his size and speed, Meadows requires multiple defenders to bring him down in the open field- he's a dominant back with tons of great traits.”   Meadows is coming off a big year last fall, recording 149 carries for 1037 yards and 12 TDs and 11 receptions for 157 yards and 2 TDs through the air.    A few months back, Meadows annouced he'd committed to WKU! Everyone should have eyes on him heading into his senior year, he's a talented player with a bright career ahead.   Check out some of Meadows' film below, you'll be impressed:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">4A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1640564' first='Noah' last='Moss']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/noah-moss-2/"></a> is a dominant RB out of St. Michael Catholic who's our selection in the 4A, what he did last fall was super impresssive.   “Moss is a quick, versatile playmaker on offense who utilizes his size, speed, and hands out of the backfield and out wide to come up with some huge plays.   Moss is fast, has great vision, and does a great job finding rushing lanes and following his blockers to maximize each carry. On top of that, Moss runs some really nice routes, gains lots of separation, and can cause some serious damage after the catch with how well he makes defenders miss in the open field.”   Moss was dominant last season, recording 252 carries for 1805 yards and 32 TDs on the ground, 44 receptions for 530 yards and 3 TDs through the air, and 12 total tackles (8 for loss) and 4 sacks on defense.   Earlier this offseason, Moss announced he'd committed to South Alabama! Moss was extremely fun to watch last fall, everyone should have their eyes on him heading foward.   Check out some of Moss' tape below:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">3A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1752037' first='Tyler' last='Thomas'] is a talented RB out of Oakman who just recently popped up on our radar, and man, after what he saw in his tape, we had to select him as our pick in the 3A.   "Physically, Thomas has everything you want in a RB. He's 6'0 205, can withstand contact, and has great vision, speed, and acceleration he uses to break off some huge gains on the ground.   I'm most impressed with how efficient Thomas is. He doesn't need much help to succeed- he's excellent at following blockers and fighting through contact to maximize every carry he gets. So often on tape you can watch him quickly and easily take the ball upfield to gash defenses on the ground, it's super impressive to watch."   Last fall, Thomas recorded only 138 carries for a staggering 1409 yards and 16 TDs on the ground.   Make sure you watch Thomas's tape below, you'll come away impressed:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2A</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1530519' first='Ronald' last='Wilder']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/ronald-wilder/"></a> is a RB/LB out of Greene County who's our choice for the 2A, he was seriously dominant on the ground last fall.   “Although producing on both sides of the ball, Wilder has been seriously impressive at RB. Wilder is one of the more physical players I've watched recently. He runs hard, has unbelievable contact balance, and excels at trucking/stiff-arming defenders into the dirt, putting together a ton of highlight-worthy plays all last year.   Although Wilder is more of a power back, he still has some incredible speed he uses to outrun entire defenses in the open field, making the most out of every carry and putting together some unreal plays on tape.“   Wilder had a terrific junior season, recording 145 carries for 1902 rushing yards and 16 TDs on the ground.   Over the last few months, Wilder picked up offers from UAB, MTSU, Army, and plenty more. It'll be exciting watching his recruitment and senior season unfold this fall- keep your eyes on him!   Check out some of Wilder's from last season:     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">1A</h2>        [player_tooltip player_id='1752026' first='Lake' last='Norris'] is a dominant RB out of Berry who put together a terrific junior season last fall, catching our attention and landing himself as our pick in the 1A.   "[player_tooltip player_id='1752026' first='Lake' last='Norris'] is a big play threat out of Berry's backfield who can tear up defenses on the grond with his vision, speed, and physicality. Norris is terrific at finding open space- he's patient behind the line of scrimmage, is great at navigating through traffic, and seems to constatnly find ways to blast through defenses unscathed for huge gains.   I'm really impressed with Norris' athleticism. He's a workhorse back who completely exhausts opposing defenses. His speed, acceleration, and stamina allow him to consistently create huge plays on the ground without getting gassed. I don't know how defenses can gameplan against him since he rarely leaves the field."   Norris ended last season with some absolutely ridiculous stats on the ground, listing 203 carries for 2293 yards and 39 TDs.
