Friday Night Review: Granville vs Tri-Valley

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>D3 Region 11 gave us a tasty matchup in week two. Tri-Valley came into Granville to take on the Blue Aces. The two teams engaged in a four-quarter battle, but it was Granville who emerged victorious with a 30-21 win. He rushed for four touchdowns, made several plays defensively, and stepped up as a leader on the field. He separates early and can get open at all levels. He made the simple throws when needed and took deep shots when the opportunities arose. He didn't have any passing touchdowns on the day, but he drove the offense downfield several times and kept the ball away from defenders. He plays tight coverage and can switch off his man/zone to make a play on the ball. He's got a big frame and uses it out wide as Tri-Valley's most significant weapon in the passing attack. He's got a big catch radius. He also lines up as a safety. He ended the game with two touchdowns, and both at a time of need for the Scotties offense. He's crafty after the catch and can make defenders look silly. He keeps his eyes downfield looking to gain yards through the air, but will take the free yards rushing if given to him.
