Vankirk had a good freshman year on varsity, stepping in at true nose tackle and holding his own. He's scrappy, quick, and not afraid to mix it up in the middle. He can shed blocks and get to the ball in the run game, which is impressive for someone still so early in his career. The effort is there every snap, and if he keeps that same fight as he develops physically, he's going to be a problem for a lot of centers.

Nelson is a good interior defensive lineman who had a strong freshman year on varsity. He's got a good get-off and can shed blocks to free himself up. He moves well side to side and can track down a ball carrier in space. His pad level still needs work, but once the technique catches up, he'll be able to win more consistently. He's got a solid frame that's still filling out, and that added size and strength will only help him take the next step.

Allen plays on both sides of the line and has the frame to keep developing. He's got a good motor, violent hands, and lower-body strength that shows up when he engages. He can go out for routes, but his real calling card feels like it will be somewhere up front. Which side of the ball he lands on is still to be determined, but the upside is there, and he's got the tools to make it work either way.

Omlor had a solid first year on varsity and looks like a player with plenty of upside. He's got a big frame, strong hands, and good length, which help him create pressure and get after the quarterback. He can change direction fairly well for someone his size, too. As a freshman, he finished with 33 tackles, 4 TFLs, and 1 sack. For someone that young, the foundation is there, and if he keeps building on it, he could turn into a real problem up front.

Baron is a good-looking recruit with the kind of potential that makes you take notice. He's got upper-body strength, length, and the hands to stay engaged at the point of attack. He can dip underneath a tackle trying to block him and has the quickness off the line to cause problems early in a rep. He's also able to bull rush and collapse the pocket when he gets a head of steam. Once the weight catches up to his frame, he's going to be a menace off the edge.
