Who Are The Most Underrated QBs In Alabama's Class of '26?

I was looking at our QB list in our 2026 Rankings earlier today and figured we needed to dive in further on some of our most underrated prospects.   Plain and simple, these guys are going to have HUGE seasons this upcoming fall. With everything they've shown on tape, it's clear they're going to make defenses pay.   As always, make sure you check out their film below- these guys have been slept on, but it won't be for much longer!    [player_tooltip player_id='402499' first='Kymani' last='Clary'] is an impressive dual-threat who opened up so much of Wetumpka's offense last season.   "Right off the bat, it's clear that Clary can put the ball anywhere he wants on the field. He has great arm strength, impressive accuracy, and is really smart- all of which help him read and hit his targets all over the field. I'm seriously impressed with his deep ball- he can throw some beautiful lob passes over the tops of defenses for huge plays.   Clary also has the speed and mobility to create big plays on the ground. He's quick on his feet, can avoid pressure, and is fast enough to outrun defenders in the open field for huge gains."   Earlier this summer, Clary picked up his first offer from North Alabama. I think Wetumpka could make a real push in the 6A this season- both the Clary brothers and [player_tooltip player_id='283568' first='Elijah' last='Peake'] are impressive prospects set up for big years- it's going to be fun to watch.   Check out some of Clary's film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1640392' first='Damon' last='Pope'] is an electric QB out of Anniston who could end up as one of the top QBs in the 4A this upcoming season.   “Pope is electric with the ball in his hands. He's quick on his feet, and has great acceleration and twitch that help him upfield and make defenders miss for huge plays.   Pope is just as talented at passing the ball. He has some serious arm talent and can make a ton of difficult throws all over the field. Pope has impressive arm strength, throws with great accuracy and timing, and can spread the ball around the field to move the chains.“   Pope has seen his recruitment ramp up this offseason, receiving offers from Tuskegee, West Alabama, and Alabama State over the last few months.   With their talent and coaching, I won't be surprised to see Anniston have a big season this fall. Pope is a game-changer at the QB position who can dominate defenses on the ground and through the air- it'll be seriously fun to watch this group play this fall.   Make sure you check out some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1651353' first='Kade' last='Clemmons'] is an incredibly gifted passer out of Muscle Shoals that I think should generate a ton of collegiate interest this year.   “Clemmons<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/kade-clemmons/"></a> is a talented pocket passer who can rip the ball all over the field. He throws with a ton of velocity, has impressive touch underneath his passes downfield, and does a great job hitting his WRs in stride for big plays.   I'm really impressed with Clemmons' ability to make plays under pressure. He stands tall in the pocket and plays with a ton of confidence, consistently delivering passes through contact and evading pass rushers to make some tough throws on the move.“   Clemmons played really well last fall, completing 115/197 passing attempts for 1941 yards and 20 TDs.   With how well he played last fall, Clemmons is starting to pick up some attention from the next level: listing offers from West Alabama and more.   With Clemmons at the helm, Muscle Shoals will be a force in the 6A this fall. They have a ton of talented playmakers on both sides of the ball and a QB that never puts his offense at risk- everyone should look out for them.   Check out Clemmons' film, you'll come away impressed.      [player_tooltip player_id='1678560' first='Zach' last='Benedict'] is a talented dual-threat out of Hewitt-Trussville who started to see his recruitment open up this offseason.   "Benedict is an electric dual threat who constantly keeps defenses on their toes. He's a talented passer with some legit arm talent who does a great job distributing the ball around the field. He quickly finds open WRs and has the arm strength and accuracy to deliver some beautiful passes their way.   On top of his passing, Benedict has the speed and mobility to hurt defenses with his legs. He's quick on his feet, has a great sense of awareness, and escapes the pocket to do whatever he can to get the sticks moving."   Benedict picked up his first offer from Jackson State a few months back and will definitely be seeing more head his way later this year. Benedict, [player_tooltip player_id='401099' first='Dylan' last='Cope'], and DJ Hall are going to be a must-watch passing trio this fall- there's so much talent on this Hewitt Trussville, they have all the makings of a championship contender.   Make sure you watch some of Benedict's practice film vs. Tupelo from earlier this offseason:      Year in and year out, [player_tooltip player_id='1513716' first='Kai' last='Franklin'] has been an incredibly reliable passer for Gadsden City throughout his career.   "Franklin is a magician in the pocket- he does a great job avoiding pressure and stepping out of sacks to create tons of time and launch passes downfield for huge gains. Franklin has some impressive arm talent; he can push the ball downfield, accurately hit his WRs in stride, and make some impressive off-platform throws on the run and under pressure.   Franklin also has the speed and mobility to create huge plays with his legs, scrambling out of the pocket or taking designed runs upfield for huge plays on the ground."   Franklin had his best season yet last fall, completing 164/257 passing attempts for 2207 yards, 22 TDs, and only one INT.   I really think Franklin will have a massive season this fall. He's continually gotten better every year as a starter and showed so many great things on tape last season. It'll be exciting watching him and this Gadsden City squad this fall; they've got a big year ahead.   Check out some of Franklin's tape below:
