Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be examining five players (per article) and sharing my expectations for them this upcoming season. All of these players are in the updated PRZ MD Class of 2027 high school football prospect rankings.

Exinor is well on his way to being one of the more sought-after edge defenders in the region. His current list of offers includes Virginia Tech, Liberty, Duke, West Virginia, and Georgia Tech. Exinor's motor is incredible. He is relentless in pursuing plays and chasing down ball carriers. His quickness off the ball is excellent, and he does a great job of using his hands and keeping offensive linemen at bay. I like the way he sets up linemen off the edge with his pass moves.

What I'm looking to see from him this season: I'm excited to see if he takes a few more steps to become a great or even elite player. He has the size and quickness and has some other tools to work with. How much stronger has he gotten over the off-season? How much more of an impact will he be as a run defender? Exinor has he potential to become scary good.

Ogbogu has early offers from Toledo, Sacramento State, Buffalo, and Akron. Despite being undersized, his production on the football field has more than made up for it. He plays with high motor and is relentless coming off the edge. Ogbogu has a quick first step that enables him to beat tackles before they engage. He doesn't rely just on his athleticism. He's a good hand-fighter and doesn't stay engaged with bigger linemen off the edge.

What I'm looking to see from him this season: I'd like to know if he has more in his arsenal from a pass-rushing standpoint. There's nothing in his film that suggests he will play any linebacker this upcoming season. With that being said, I'm curious about his ability to play in space.

Spano made 61 total tackles (21 tackles for a loss), sacked the quarterback six times, and pressured the quarterback 14 times. He plays with great leverage and is allowed to attack the defensive from different angles, making it hard for offenses to know where he's coming from. He's a solid tackler and does a great job of shooting the gaps when lined up in the linebacker position.

What I'm looking to see from him this season: There's no doubt that he's a disruptor in the backfield (21 tackles for a loss). I'd like to see him become more explosive coming out of his stance and when he's chasing down ball carriers. Spano is excellent at holding the edge, and he has a high motor. He is good, but more explosiveness will make him special.

Davis easily passes the eye test at 6-6, 235 pounds. Per his X account, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds at a camp in Maryland over a month ago. He received his first Division I offer from Georgetown on May 31st.

What I'm looking to see from him this season: His film is limited from last year, but there's enough there to recognize that he's agile and covers a lot of ground. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with a lot more reps on defense this upcoming season. He has the potential to be a significant disruptor in the backfield this season. I can see more offers coming his way sooner rather than later once he can get a few more things on film.

Shaw transferred to Friendship Collegiate Academy back in May. Despite limited highlights from last season, you can see that he's quick coming off the ball and does a solid job of securing the edge. He was an effective pass-rusher as well.

What I'm looking to see from him this season: I want to know if he's put any size on since the end of last season. In this case, I'm talking about weight. He's listed as 6'4", 180 pounds, making him more on the leaner side of things. Shaw is a raw talent that I can see being developed into a solid prospect by Coach Scrapp and the crew at FCA.

These 5 WR's in the updated 2027 rankings have something to prove

These 5 RB's in the updated 2027 rankings have something to prove

These 5 QB's in the updated 2027 rankings have something to prove
