Recruiting Report (7/15)- Alabama's Newest Offers and Commits

As we head further into the offseason, the recruiting world only keeps moving.   Today, we are highlighting some of the recent commitments and offers across the state! These guys have such bright futures ahead, so we're diving into the recent news surrounding them.   As always, check out their tape below- we have so much talent here in Alabama, you won't want to miss these prospects before they're off to the next level!    [player_tooltip player_id='1642087' first='Aaron' last='Moore'] is a game-wrecking EDGE out of Ben C Rain who made a big announcement this past week.   "Moore is a dominant presence on Rain's defensive front and consistently finds ways into the backfield to disrupt and make plays every snap. Moore is explosive off the snap, has great size and speed, and can fly by/through blockers and get to the ball carrier by using a wide variety of different moves.   I'm impressed with Moore's ability to be an every-down difference-maker- he's dominant against the run and as a pass rusher, allowing him to be a constant impact playmaker for his defense."   Moore ended his junior season with 50 total tackles (35 solo, 10 for loss), 4 sacks, and multiple pressures throughout the year.   A few days back, Moore committed to Georgia State! He's set up for a ton of success there, with his talent, I'm sure he could quickly become a big piece of their defensive front.   As always, make sure you watch some of Moore's tape below!      [player_tooltip player_id='1622128' first='Will' last='Phillips'] is a seriously talented safety out of Hewitt-Trussville who has seen his recruitment pick up tons this offseason.   "At 6'3 180, Phillips has great size and provides blanket coverage on smaller targets downfield. He's highly instinctual and is excellent at getting his hands on the ball, consistently breaking up passes and making some incredible interceptions downfield.   Phillips is great at defending the run- he's really athletic. plays with great pursuit, and consistently flies downhill to tackle the ball carrier near the line of scrimmage."   Phillips ended his junior year with 52 total tackles (32 solo), one sack, and 3 PBUs.   After a productive offseason on the recruiting trail, Philips ended up committing to Old Dominion this past week! I won't be surprised to see him hit the field early on- I'm a big fan of Phillips and his versatility in the secondary- everyone, watch out for him this fall.   Make sure you check out some of Phillips' film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1453166' first='Rollie' last='Pinto'] is a dominant WR out of Piedmont who put together a legendary season last fall and has seen his recruitment take off since then.   “Pinto is an explosive threat at every level of the field. At 6'1 185, he's an excellent route runner with a great set of hands and tons of speed he uses to stretch the field out wide. I'm super impressed with how easily and quickly Pinto gains separation off of DBs- it doesn't matter what route he's running, Pinto leaves defenders in the dust.   Pinto is also extremely tough to tackle after the catch. He does a great job using his speed and twitch to evade defenders and plays through contact to fight for every possible yard before being taken down.“   Pinto was unbelievable last season. He gave nightmares to DBs all year long and ended the season with 108 receptions for 1826 yards.    Last week, Pinto announced he was heading to Jacksonville State! I can't wait to watch Pinto play this fall and at the next level; he's a great kid and an even better player- huge things ahead for him.   As always, check out some of Pinto's tape below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1672226' first='Anthony' last='Seaton'] is a lockdown DB out of Sparkman who has started to see his recruitment grow a ton over the last few months.   "Seaton is a reliable S who provides so much security over the top of the secondary. He's a huge threat in coverage who never lets anyone get behind him and does a terrific job tracking and making plays on the ball as well.   I love seeing what Seaton can do down near the line of scrimmage- he can press/jam WRs and consistently provides terrific run support upfront. I was really impressed with Seaton's tackling- once he makes contact with you, you're not getting any extra yards."   Last week, Seaton announced he had picked up his third offer from Alabama A&M! I've been super impressed with Seaton this offseason and won't be surprised when more schools send offers his way- he's a talented defender with a big year ahead.   Check out some of Seaton's film below:      Laquan Whisenhunt is a dominant LB out of Jackson who seriously impressed me earlier this offseason.   "Whisenhunt is a tackling machine who flies to the ball nearly every snap. Whisenhunt is excellent at reading and reacting to plays, is patient and instinctual, and constantly puts himself in great position to create stops. I'm impressed with Whisenhunt's ability to attack the run; he flies downhill, fills in rushing lanes, and takes down the ball carrier for little to no gain on almost every carry.   On passing downs, Whisenhunt has just as big of an impact, providing great coverage over the middle of the field and causing tons of problems behind the line by consistently pressuring quarterbacks off of blitzes."   Whisenhunt ended his junior season with 160 total tackles (9 for loss), 8 QB hurries, 2 FF, and one INT.   This past week, Whisenhunt added another offer to his list, this time from West Alabama! I'm seriously excited to watch Whisenhunt this fall; he and Jackson have MASSIVE potential heading into this upcoming season.
