As the month of July is coming to an end, the 2025 high school football season is almost here! With a new season beginning, a new graduating class will be entering their first year of high school football. With that in mind, I wanted to take some time to focus on some intriguing incoming freshmen who will be starting their high school careers this year. After already covering the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, here are some notable ATH to keep an eye on in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky who make an impact at multiple positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1402920' first='Jaelyn' last='Anderson'] is a player who stood out to me when evaluating eighth grade year film. Anderson does most of his damage on offense at receiver where he uses his speed to create separation in the deep passing game. He has also shown the ability to make contested catches with ease, showing the strong hands and concentration to bring in catches through contact. Anderson has also proven to be a very dangerous returner on special teams as he is able to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to breakaway for a big return at any given moment. Jaelyn will be a player to continue to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next four years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1172375' first='Jeremiah' last='Brown'] has shown the ability to make a big impact on both sides of the ball. On offense, Brown is a strong downhill ball carrier who has shown leg drive to run straight through defenders along with a very impressive stiff arm to keep defenders away from him in the open field. Once he hits the open field, Brown has also shown the burst of speed to run away from the defense on long runs. On defense, Jeremiah lines up at linebacker where he does a great job of reading the play quickly then using his speed to get to the ball carrier in a hurry to make the tackle in the open field. Brown will look to be the next in line in a continuous cycle of college prospects coming out of the Frederick Douglass program.

[player_tooltip player_id='1311347' first='Kolton' last='Risner'] is a player who caught my attention with some impressive eighth grade year film. Risner lines up in the slot where he uses his speed to run by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game and to pick up extra yards after the catch. Kolton has also shown a ton of physicality as a blocker in the open field on run plays and screen passes. He has also proven to be a reliable returner on special teams and has taken some snaps as a defensive back. Risner will be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to grow and develop over the next four seasons.

My final notable ATH to watch in the class of 2029 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='1741267' first='Ayden' last='Wickware']. Wickware is at his best on the outside at receiver on offense. He has shown the ability to use his speed to his advantage in the deep passing game, using it to create separation from opposing defensive backs with ease. Ayden is also very impressive after the catch, showing the ability to use his speed and elusiveness in the open field to turn short passes into big gains at any given moment. He can also play defensive back if asked to do so. Wickware will be a player to keep an eye on as he joins a Bowling Green program that has produced a lot of talent skilled players throughout their history.
