Set to be one of the keys to success for the Little Hawks on both sides of the ball this season, Harris showed playmaking abilities on offense and defense last Thursday. At wide receiver, Harris caught a bomb for 30+ yards, beating the opposing DB off the line with his agility and getting separation on the route thanks to his top end speed. With just eight receptions for 189 yards and three scores on offense last season, Harris has a shot to breakout in his senior campaign.

He'll play slot corner and nickel for City High in the fall as well, where his lateral speed and athleticism will allow him to make plays on the back end of the defense. Harris is also a name to watch on special teams as a return man.

A stalwart at defensive end, Estremera lived in the backfield. A slight of frame, slippery pass-rusher, Estremera wreaked havoc against the first and second team offenses, registering would-be sacks, swatting down passes at the line of scrimmage getting after ball-carriers in the backfield, and more. He's a vocal leader that has taken the reigns of leading the defense after the Little Hawks lost a plethora of production to graduation.

With just 22 tackles last season, expect Estremera to ramp up those numbers this fall while adding some tackles-for-loss and sacks against opposing offenses.

A small, but speedy slot receiver, Newton is looking to build off a productive sophomore year where he led the Little Hawks in receiving, as he posted 36 catches for 426 yards and three touchdowns. Despite his lack of size, Newton is a fast-twitch receiver that can turn a short catch into a long gain with his ability to navigate space and run away from defenders. His speed stood out amongst his teammates, and that should allow the rising junior to be used in the run game, as well as as a returner.

A huge body that will move from left guard to right tackle this season, Mensah is an imposing presence on City High's OL. Though moving positions won't exactly be an easy task for the No. 4 OL in the class of 2027, Mensah's physical tools -- length, size and quick feet -- will make the transition much easier. As his confidence grows, he'll be more and more impactful up front.

With his size, Mensah has a chance to shoot up the rankings this season, and if he can put it all together, could be a coveted prospect.

City High's reigning defensive player of the year after leading the Little Hawks in tackles (69) as a true freshman, Sheldon is back for year two and could be a household name in eastern Iowa if he keeps up that level of production. A tackling machine that isn't afraid to take on anyone, Sheldon isn't a boisterous personality -- he lets his play do the talking.

Always around the ball on defense, don't be surprised to see the rising sophomore more on offense this season, as he took a majority of the first-team reps at running back last week. With [player_tooltip player_id='1361313' first='Dawson' last='Kahl'] on vacation, Sheldon took advantage of all of his opportunities and showing off fluidity and decisiveness as a natural runner of the football, and won't be an easy tackle with his strong lower body.
