Updated rankings are being released, and we'll be kicking off preseason coverage before long.

It's still June, however. There's plenty of time to keep rolling out student-athlete evaluations as we grow our data base here at Prep Redzone Iowa.

Here's a look at a group of seniors worthy of reports on their profile pages, which they now have:

Vandaele was a part of a formidable Trojan offensive front in 2024. It should be even more salty with he and others back this fall. When viewing highlights on Vandaele's Hudl page, we witness evidence for his success. Lining up at left tackle, Vandaele's agility and athleticism help him hold up well in pass protection. Setting up quickly in his stance, he stays balanced and uses his hands effectively. Vandaele does a nice job run blocking, showing effectiveness in reaching assignments on the second level and in space. Vandaele would be a fine breakout candidate choice for the 2025 campaign.

I like that Novak's junior highlight video cuts out any fat. It's 24 seconds of him beating opponents on crisply-run routes and delivering difficult catches. Novak combines the size to make plays over top of defenders with speed to get by them. Mount Pleasant graduated its two leading pass catchers from a year ago, and Novak looks like a guy who could thrive with more opportunity this coming season. His skill set also would play well on defense and special teams.

Guernsey contributed on both sides of the ball for Burlington last season. He rushed five times but had a bigger impact on defense, collecting 12.0 tackles (9 solo, 2.0 TFL), a pair of sacks and a fumble recovery. Game highlights from his Hudl page reveal a very active defender that plays downhill. He diagnoses plays quickly and flies to the football. Guernsey operates with balance and does a nice job of breaking down the target before delivering a technically-sound tackle. He plays fast and physical, projecting as a safety on the next level.

Todd did about everything but sell popcorn at halftime last season. He threw five touchdown passes, ran for eight scores and caught a TD. On defense, Todd collected 49.5 tackles (40 solo, 6.5 TFL), a sack and three interceptions. He also returned kicks and punts. Todd looks like the athlete you'd picture in your head after reading off his statistics. We see that when watching his junior highlight video. He's a problem with his speed and elusiveness when running the football, sprinkling in power here and there. There's potential as a thrower, too. His talents also would work well on defense and special teams.

Schutty contributed a solo tackle on defense in 2024 but his heavy lifting happened on the O-Line. His junior highlight video lends insight into how he helped one of the state's better rushing attacks. Schutty brings an impressive set of skills to the center position. He gets under the opponent's pads quickly and powers through him. Using his hands effectively to control the defender, Schutty often overwhelms the other guy. Quickness also stands out as does his commitment to playing through the whistle. Schutty could slide to a guard if a college liked him better there, but keeping him in the middle maximizes his talents.

Hallgren kicked off and handled place-kicking duties for the Bulldogs last season. The lefty has a powerful leg that serves him well. Hallgren shows off his talents during his junior highlight video. It includes his 36-yard field goal. Opponents don't have a good chance to return his kickoffs. Hallgren boots it high and deep, often near or through the end zone. His extra points are hit well and portend potential for success kicking field goals if given more of an opportunity to do so.
