2026 Rankings Update 6.0: WR

As we head deeper into the month of July, the 2025 high school football season is quickly approaching. With that in mind, we have entered a new round of rankings updates in the state of Kentucky, with the class of 2026 being the latest class to be updated. Now that these rankings have been posted, I will be breaking down our updated Top 275 by position. After already covering the quarterbacks and running backs, here are our top wide receivers in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky.    [player_tooltip player_id='894941' first='Ronald' last='Lunz'] has truly established himself as one of the top overall players in the state in his class. He is coming off a strong junior year in which he caught 50 passes for 681 yards and eight touchdowns in 11 games. Lunz is a very impressive route runner, using a quick release and sudden breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. He has also shown the speed to pose as a deep threat and very reliable hands, catching passes away from his body regardless of what type of coverage is around him. Lunz currently holds multiple Power 4/Division I offers and I expect more to come his way going into his senior year.     [player_tooltip player_id='212337' first='Trevy' last='Barber'] is a player who has been high on our radar for a while now and continued to impress as a junior, catching 79 passes for 1,327 yards and 22 touchdowns in 15 games. Barber lines up primarily in the slot where he uses his explosive speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He has also shown elite route running ability, using quick breaks in his routes to create separation. Trevy currently holds several Division I offers and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play as high as the Power 4 level.     [player_tooltip player_id='1311247' first='Brenden' last='Brown'] is another receiver who has been high on our radar for a while now. Brown played in a crowded receiver room last season but was reliable when targeted, catching 14 passes for 151 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games. He is a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation from opposing defensive backs. Brown also has very reliable hands and the speed to pose as a deep threat. Brenden currently holds offers from Kentucky, Ole Miss, Murray State, Southern Mississippi, and Nicholls State, and I expect more to come his way as he should see more targets coming his way as a senior.     [player_tooltip player_id='1655655' first='Jerrick' last='Martin'] caught our attention with a strong junior year in which he finished with 36 receptions for 569 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games. Martin lines up on the outside where he has the speed to pose as a very reliable deep threat. When the ball is thrown his way, he has shown the ability to use his high catch radius to come away with passes at their highest point, even with tight coverage around him. He also played a key role on defense as a junior, finishing the season with 20 tackles and three interceptions (one returned for a touchdown). Jerrick currently holds offers from Southern Mississippi, Eastern Kentucky, and Indianapolis, and I expect more to come his way as he is a Division I caliber prospect.     To wrap up our top five wide receivers in the class of 2026 in the state of Kentucky, I have [player_tooltip player_id='1655659' first='Aiden' last='Jesse']. As a junior at Christian County, Jesse caught 49 passes for 690 yards and four touchdowns in nine games. Jesse is a reliable deep ball threat, showing the speed to create separation along with the ability to track and adjust to the ball when it is thrown to him. He is also dangerous after the catch, using his speed and strength as a ball carrier to turn short passes into big gains. Aiden currently holds offers from UT-Martin and Southern Mississippi, and I expect a lot of eyes to be on his after transferring to Hopkinsville for his final season.
