Underrated and Impressive: 2027 QBs to Watch

He has one of the strongest arms I have seen in the 2027 class. His ability to throw deep balls when he has pressure on his face is outstanding. He is a good athlete who excels at running around and throwing the ball. He is also a good runner who does a good job running in designed run plays. Then, when the play breaks down, he is a playmaker who can make plays by extending plays and then throwing the ball. When he is in the pocket, he can throw a good ball and is poised in the pocket. He reads the defense well and always knows where he wants to throw the ball. He is exceptional at scanning the defense and throwing the ball in the pocket. Then, as a runner, he is good at running on designed plays or when the plays break down, and he can scramble around to make a play. Playing as a 1st year quarterback, he could throw the ball well. His mechanics and footwork are excellent. He showed a good ability to throw with anticipation into tight windows. He also showed good athletic ability as a runner. Shank did a good job of reading the defensive linemen and running with the ball on designed quarterback read plays. He has one of the biggest arms in the class of 2027. His ability to throw a deep ball and uncork his big arm is impressive. He also puts the perfect amount of touch on the ball. The other big part of his game is how he throws with anticipation. His ability to anticipate where openings are and throw the ball is excellent. He is excellent in the RPO passing game. He does a good job of making the proper reads to run or pass the ball. His mechanics and footwork are good as well. Then he is a good runner who, when he gets into the open field, has the speed to run by defenders for big plays.
