I don't normally cover the elite of the elite as much, but I am today. Here are my thoughts on five elite receivers in Michigan's class of 2027.

Dakota will either be ranked #1 or #2 during the next update.

Unmatched talent since he was a freshman. Athletesism through the roof- could outperform Division 1 committed Seniors when he was a Freshman. Sticky hands, awesome ball tracking, route running, and some of the best body control I've ever seen. I don't typically cover guys like Dakota simply because they don't need any exposure from me. His talent is obvious, and as long as he puts his nose to the ground and continues to work, Dakota will be an excellent Saturday player.

Tre has absolutely exploded since the beginning of this year. In fact, during our last update, he only had offers from Utah, Marshall, Eastern Michigan, and UMass. Since then, he's picked up offers from Alabama, UCLA, Oklahoma, Michigan, Wisconsin, and several others.

Tre's tape sets him apart. What I like most about Tre is his ability to snag slightly inaccurate (and hard-thrown) balls, maintain momentum, and earn RAC. 0:56 in his highlight tape serves as an excellent example. No-doubt top 5 player in Michigan. Heavily leaning on ranking Tre in the top 3.

The third of our elite recievers, and other prospect that I'm considering ranking #1.

Chad has the best size of any skill player in this class. 6'2" 213 (Verified) with elite athleticism is nearly unheard of. I also know that Chad has extremely quick feet for his size and has a wide catch radius. On top of that, Chad can play DB.

I feel that Chad's tape is a touch behind the two prospects listed above, but his ceiling may be the highest. I'm pretty set on ranking Chad in the top 3.

A couple of offers, and I'm expecting more to come after this coming season.

I even feel that Santino is a tad underrated. Santino's tape proves that he's someone who does the little things right. Every route is crisp. Footwork is consistently on point. Although Santino isn't as explosive as the Power 4 prospects, he's still able to generate massive RAC due to his vision and physicality.

I expect the Dakota passing offense to be a little more robust this season. Santino won't be ranked in the top 10, but he will be ranked generously, as I strongly beleive a breakout season is incoming.

James is honestly a new name, and I don't yet have a confident evaluation for him.

At a glance, James has two Division 1 offers, has decent testing numbers, and his tape showcases a few extremely promising traits. James's best traits seem to be his elusiveness, hands, and catch radius. In the future, I'd like to see upgrades to speed and route running.

No doubt that James has performed well at camps this offseason. James should earn a ton of playing time at Harper Woods, and he should be a big part of that pass-heavy offense.
