PRZVA 2027 Rankings, Top 50 Prospect Evals Update

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Our 2027 Ranking update was recently published. I have been working hard on updating the evaluations of our ranked players with over 80 evals currently done. Today, I am finishing out evaluations on our Top 50 players based on their 2024 season tape. My goal is to write evals on all 300 ranked prospects. On offense, he plays Running Back which is where his college future may lie. He displays good vision and patience in the backfield. He has very good burst through the hole with his very good explosiveness, acceleration, and balance. He has the agility to force missed tackles and the strength and balance to gain yards after contact. On defense, he is listed as a Linebacker, but his tape shows him at defensive line. His good upfield burst and quickness are too much for most offensive linemen he will face. This led to 23 Tackles for Loss on the season with 8 sacks and 16 QB hurries. While his size will prevent him from playing DL at the next level, he has the traits you want for a Linebacker/Edge player and if he continues to grow in height, there very well could be a future on the defensive side of the ball. Overall, Reginald is a good player with a high upside due to his athleticism. He displays very good upfield burst where he uses his acceleration, quickness, strength, and length to create leverage and set himself up to shed the block. He displays a good pass rush where he can win with both strength and quickness off the edge leading to 5 sacks in 7 games this past season. Versus the run, he can anchor himself hold the edge, and quickly move inside with his lateral movement to defend the inside run. Very good pursuit with a high-end motor. An elusive running back with speed, he is an offensive playmaker who can be used in multiple ways on the field. He displays very good vision and creative ability in the backfield, with quick reaction to penetration and the elusiveness and speed to avoid a loss. Very good short-area quickness allows him to force missed tackles at the second level, and he has the speed to outrun most he will face on a high school field. While on the smaller side in size, he keeps his legs moving and does a good job at keeping his momentum moving forward through contact when defenders wrap him up. He displays good athletic ability, very good speed, lateral agility, and change of direction with good explosiveness, and balance. A confident player, he is not shy to take risks on the field for the big play. Anytime the ball is in his hands, his goal is to take it to the house. At Wide Receiver, he has solid route running and uses his athleticism to create separation in his route. He is good at controlling his body and positioning himself to make the catch with good YAC ability. At running back, he is elusive and good in Zone schemes to read the hole and burst to the second level. On defense, he is good in Zone where he can read the QB and make a break on the ball. A football player, basketball player, and track star, Deuce has very good athleticism that is visible in his tape. What impresses me more is his ability to win with technique alongside his athleticism. He has good release off the ball, with good footwork to create leverage to get past the press. Has the speed to quickly close the gap in off/soft coverages, and uses his athleticism to create separation at the top of the route. He is not limited to quick hitting routes and is willing to go across the middle and face contact. He is a willing blocker in run blocking near the line of scrimmage and downfield blocking. The size of a linebacker and the athleticism to play Nickel, he totaled 41 Tackles and 10 TFLs on the season. He has good processing and reaction allowing him to be in a good position to make a play. He has the strength to take on and shed blocks from linemen and make a tackle on the ball carrier. He can play in Zone and Man coverage in pass defense. At Wide Receiver, he has good strength through his routes, with the size that will outmatch most he will face on the high school field. He has no issue running across the middle and absorbing contact. He is also a willing blocker. Versatile to align deep or in the box. A good athlete with good speed, acceleration, and explosiveness, he can quickly come downhill and make a play. He is strong versus the run and can make the open-field tackle. His short-area quickness and ability to adapt stick out in his tape. Good burst, he can quickly get through the hole to the second level, displaying good balance. Good run strength for his size allowing him to keep his feet through weak tackles and set up a move to evade the next defender. Has the speed to stretch the field in outside runs.
