Our updated Class of 2027 Rankings is live! We have ranked 300 prospects throughout the state of Virginia and added many more to our Watch List. We are very impressed with what the Class of '27 has shown so far on tape and we are bullish on their college potential. Today, I am bringing you some of my reactions to the rankings and highlighting some names that could see their stock rise if they have the strong season this fall that I expect them to have.

The Quarterback position is strong in this class. We debated many of the names to establish the order we have presented. One name I believe we could see make a jump next year is [player_tooltip player_id='1312192' first='Luke' last='Roberts']. He was already a big riser in this year's update moving up 36 spots in the overall state rankings but saw only a three-spot jump in the QB ranks. Why I am bullish on him is that you can see improved play from his freshman tape to his sophomore tape. He is an athlete and finds himself playing many positions on the field. When he establishes himself as the QB, we could see him make the jump. Another name to watch is [player_tooltip player_id='1199920' first='Jensen' last='Strobele']. He throws a nice ball and has a strong work ethic. He is on the Watch List in this update, but if he gets his chance to start this fall at the QB position, we will see him ranked in next year's update.

Next, let's look at the Linebacker group. Two names stick out to me lower in the list that you should not ignore. Both names found themselves a home as a stacked LB last year. An off-season of development at the position I believe could see them move up the ranks in next year's update. The first player is [player_tooltip player_id='1171993' first='Noah' last='Paxton'] out of Craig County. Noah is a hard-nosed football player who loves to play physically. He will be manning the middle of Craig County's defense, and I expect him to have a big year. The second name is [player_tooltip player_id='1313478' first='Roman' last='Aronson'] out of Liberty Christian Academy. Roman did not see action at stacked LB until late in the season but showed good promise at the position and anchored the spot for LCA's playoff run to cap off their second straight state championship.

At the Defensive Tackle position, [player_tooltip player_id='1282096' first='Yuri' last='Radcliffe'] is a name to watch. This is his ranking debut for us, and he came out as the 16th Defensive Lineman. A big interior DL, he can play 0-2 and eat up the middle of the line freeing up the linebackers and edge defenders. He finished his sophomore campaign with 51 tackles with 42 of them for a loss.

Finally, I want to specifically highlight one player who went from being ranked in last year's initial ranking and are now on the Watch List. That is QB [player_tooltip player_id='1282087' first='Jahiem' last='Jackson']. Jahiem was highly ranked last year, but we lacked conviction on where to put them in this year's update due to minimal play this past season with the return of Lousia County's senior QB. Expect him to be back as the starter this fall and reestablish his place in our rankings in next year's update.
