This is already shaping up to be a special group after some standout freshman campaigns. In this latest update, we rounded up our ranked players to 25 and added over 50 new names to our list.   Next up are the prospects ranked 20-16 in the latest update. Alliance sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1590706' first='Caysen' last='Robertson'] had a big time breakout season in only his first year in the varsity ranks. Robertson led the Bulldogs' defense with 106 tackles, four TFLs, three fumble recoveries, and two forced fumbles. Robertson plays outside linebacker, but I could see him developing into a solid safety prospect where he will still be a strong box presence while also being able to use his range and athleticism as an asset in coverage. Robertson's IQ and quickness to read offenses help him make snap decisions and possesses the closing speed to get to the ball carrier on nearly every play. Caysen's first step was very impressive on tape, especially when he decides to pin his ears back and rush the line of scrimmage, showing he can beat linemen at the snap by bending the corner to collapse the pocket and bring down the QB/ball carrier for a loss. Consistent tackler with good technique and power to secure the stop. Don't sleep on this panhandle prospect with high upside!      <a href="https://x.com/turnerwilkie5" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@turnerwilkie5)</a>   Although Lincoln East's [player_tooltip player_id='1590712' first='Turner' last='Wilkie'] only saw the field sparingly as a freshman, the flashes he showed and the work he's put in this offseason has earned his the spot of the top ranked QB in this update. Turner has promising arm talent as he displays the strength to throw it to all levels of the field and can deliver it with great timing/accuracy. Turner also seems to have honed in on some of the nuances of being a QB including his footwork and throwing mechanics which look a step ahead of other quarterbacks I've seen going into their sophomore year. Wilkie has been very busy this offseason, attending several P4 camps and turning heads along the way. Won't be long before we start hearing more buzz around Turner's name on the recruiting circuit.      <a href="https://x.com/EvvannDaniels" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@EvvannDaniels)</a>   We don't often rank players with only freshman/JV tape going into their sophomore season, but Columbus' [player_tooltip player_id='1683777' first='Evvann' last='Daniels']' talent was too hard to ignore. The Discoverer prospect jumped onto our radar after a dynamic track season where Evvann posted times of 10.31 in the 100m (5th best nationally among 28s) and a 21.77 200m. When you turn on Daniels' tape, you can see that his speed clearly translates over to the gridiron with his explosive burst and breakaway acceleration. He can set defenders up before making a quick, sharp cut to shake them in the open field. If you allow Evvann to gain the corner, he's as good as gone. If Evvann comes firing out the gate for the Discoverers this fall, I could see the offers start to float his direction sooner rather than later.      <a href="https://x.com/tatum_wash" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@tatum_wash)</a>   Millard South's [player_tooltip player_id='1683734' first='Tatum' last='Wash'] is a player I'm excited to get a better look at this fall after transferring from out of state. Wash is new to my radar so I'm still trying to figure out if he'll get more playing time on the offensive or defensive line, possessing high upside on both, but projecting best on the DL. Right off the bat, Tatum passes the eye test with ideal measurables at 6'3", 260 pounds with a wrestling background that shows on tape. Tatum bring a destructive mean streak to the field with his ability to blow linemen off their spot with his power and his aggressive use of hands to disengage from blockers. Wash plays with good pad level which allows him to maintain consistent leverage when locked up with linemen and can generate the leg drive to generate a push at the LOS. Wash's motor also stood out as he was constantly working his way to the ball. With the skills shown on tape and three more years of developing at the prospect powerhouse of Millard South, it won't be long before more coaches take notice of Tatum's play!      <a href="https://x.com/jevon_payne" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(@jevon_payne)</a>   It's never easy for a freshman to be thrown to the wolves so early by playing one of the tackle positions, but sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1572361' first='Jevon' last='Payne'] seemed to take that challenge in stride. The Gator prospect looked comfortable at right tackle, where he impressed as both a run blocker and in pass protection. As a run-blocker, Jevon does a good job being aggressive at the point of attack and is quick enough to climb up to the second level to seal off blocks. Payne's motor also keeps him looking for more work to pick up downfield after taking out his initial blocking assignment. Jevon displayed nice mobility in pass protection as he quickly dropped into his sets and had the lateral quickness to mirror pass rushers at the LOS. Effective use of hands with solid placement to secure the inside leverage advantage.
