There’s a lot of ways to describe Columbus High School’s 2028 RB Evvann Daniels, but you can sum it up well by simply stating that he’s a dang good football player. The Nebraska Class A 100M state champion, though undersized, Daniels owns rare and explosive athleticism that was on bright display at the Jackrabbits’ second & final prospect camp of 2026. The 2028 tailback clocked a 4.37 40, 4.23 pro-agility, and 9’11 broad jump, and he was as tough, competitive, and coachable as he was athletic, which is obviously saying something. In one of the more physical and competitive drills that PRZ saw all Summer Camp SZN, Daniels was stepping up and asserting himself against an aggressive and physically impressive LB group that day in Brookings, and it’s safe to say that the Nebraska native was isn’t scared of contact, nor competition. Daniels was also nearly unguardable out of the backfield as a route runner and passer, was the most explosive RB of the group, and had some juice in pass protection from the backfield as well. I don’t use this phrase often, but 2028 Evvann Daniels is a dog!

Columbus sophomore Evvann Daniels Evvann Daniels 5'7" | 150 lbs | RB Columbus | 2028 State NE is a speedy RB who I believe is a big camp performance away from exploding on the recruiting scene. Evvann flew onto my radar as a freshman after a dominant track season and followed that up with 499 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 57 carries in the fall. Obviously, the biggest strength of Evvann’s game is the legit track speed that lets him break away from defenders and makes him a threat to hit a home run on any given play. He does an excellent job being patient behind his blockers and can see the play unfold very well, allowing him to identify where holes will be. Daniels’ balance and strength in his base were also very impressive, as he kept his footing while battling multiple tackle attempts. He can also juke, spin, and power his way through/away from tackles, displaying his shiftiness in the open field. Plenty of time to continue adding some extra bulk to his frame in the upcoming seasons. Definitely someone you don’t want to sleep on!

We don’t often rank players with only freshman/JV tape going into their sophomore season, but Columbus’ Evvann Daniels Evvann Daniels 5'7" | 150 lbs | RB Columbus | 2028 State NE ‘ talent was too hard to ignore. The Discoverer prospect jumped onto our radar after a dynamic track season where Evvann posted times of 10.31 in the 100m (5th best nationally among 28s) and a 21.77 200m. When you turn on Daniels’ tape, you can see that his speed clearly translates over to the gridiron with his explosive burst and breakaway acceleration. He can set defenders up before making a quick, sharp cut to shake them in the open field. If you allow Evvann to gain the corner, he’s as good as gone. If Evvann comes firing out the gate for the Discoverers this fall, I could see the offers start to float his direction sooner rather than later.
