Even though Phoenix was the youngest quarterback in attendance last Saturday at the Pro MN Athletics Camp in Edina, I came away impressed with this young man as he showed a quick development curve from start of camp to finish. Phoenix had more poise than I expected, as one that showed off solid ball placement on short and intermediate routes. He also boosted the confidence from a character perspective you want to see out of a young gunslinger that still is just scratching the surface of his football potential. My penny for a thought, the last 7th grader I tracked early from Alexandria turned out to be good one, as I will be intrigued to track Phoenix over the next several years to monitor his progression.

This is now the second time this spring that Sam has caught my attention at a showcase/camp with the first being at our Prep Redzone Minnnesota Showcase in April. What progression did I see from Sam on Saturday? I could gauge that Sam seemed to have a strong rhythm with in the poise department and I also was drawn to some of the ball placements he made on a consistent basis. The 2028 QB out of Blaine, has taken advantage of camps this Spring and appears as a riser in my book in the 2028 class.

Bo in my eyes was in my top-tier for 2028 quarterbacks in attendance, as the Brainerd product showed off a great live eval from our first look at him. He was more well-versed with his throwing mechanics than I expected, which was a bright spot to see. The 6'0 190 pounder also appeared longer for that frame which indicates to me there could be growth over the coming years with his size/frame. Overall, Bo was one of the more precise quarterbacks in the group and could make throws on all three levels. He surely is one of my favorite 2028 QBs in the class out of Lakes country. Twitter

Easily one of the most promising 2026 gunslingers in the QB group at the Pro MN Athletics Camp in my eyes was Braham's Garrett Lidke. He not only passed easily on the eye-test at a legit 6'4 180 pounds but I could tell the college coaches in attendance liked what they saw out of Garett too which was another bright side for his camp experience in Edina. He showed off sound footwork in the reps I got to watch on Saturday and showed off the quick rotation to his release with the mechanics he had at his disposal. I surely feel Garret looks to be next Braham Bombers product to play on Saturdays.

With the quarterback position, the term balanced might get overused but it's crucial for quarterbacks to have, as that term applies to the live eval I got on Eden Prairie 2028 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1168289' first='Blake' last='Anderson'] on Saturday at the Pro MN Athletics Camp. Blake was persistent in the live reps I watched, with his ball placement which seemed to always be in the right spot with the right timing. Blake was another quarterback that showed off a quick growth curve on Saturday, as if you watched his first rep to his last rep it was evident that this young man was grasping the attention to detail from two Gopher QB legends to improve his game. Again, the overall balance Blake displayed with about all of his skillsets is going to be intriguing to watch grow over the coming years. Twitter

If I was given a vote for QB MVP, from the 2028 class at Saturday's Pro MN Athletics Camp, my sure vote would be for [player_tooltip player_id='1654549' first='Graham' last='Greseth'] out of Rogers who is also our QB4 and rising in the class. Every throw I got to watch Graham made, showed plenty of pure balance especially with his arm strength and accuracy, as well as the consistent ball placement he showed off. Graham was another quarterback that excelled with his throws on all three levels. The poise was evident too, as the 6'3 176 pounder surely should intrigue college coaches on the earlier side due to the arm talent and ideal size that still has plety time and room to grow out his frame in the coming years.
