Class of 2027 Ranked Linebackers and EDGE Defenders to Know

He can align in two, three, and four-point stances. I believe he could also offer reps at a Stacked-LB position as well. He shows that he is disciplined on the edge, reading his keys and reacting to make a play. He shows lateral agility to defend the run inside down the line of scrimmage and can contain the edge. He shows solid speed in pass rush to get to the QB, taking good angles. He does a good job at using his hands to keep linemen out of his chest. He displays a good read and reacts to the play with quick acceleration downhill versus the run. He has the strength to hold his ground versus offensive linemen and shed the block in the hole to make a tackle. He has very good grip strength to bring a ball carrier down with his arms. Does a good job staying square and scrapping over the top when on the backside, has the range to cover outside runs, and displays solid Zone awareness in pass coverage. He displays a quick first step that allows him to quickly come downhill with explosiveness. He is a hard-hitting, dependable tackler. He also can pass cover, showing good Zone awareness and ball skills to time the throw to disrupt the pass or make a quick tackle. He has versatility in his position, he can play in a Stacked LB role, he can be used as a Safety, and you can rush him off the edge. At the next level, he will likely find a home in a hybrid SS/LB role that will take advantage of his versatility. What I like most in his tape is that he is not just a run defender, but he can consistently be trusted in pass coverage. He is a good competitor with a high motor that plays through the whistle. Displays good gap integrity in run defenses and is a dependable tackler. Has solid range versus outside runs to defend the edge. Good zone awareness on multiple levels on the defense. He also shows the ability to blitz and force pressure on the QB and finish with a sack, and can also provide special team reps. Shows a quick first step with good lateral agility that allows him to make plays in the backfield. He does a good job at using his hands to create separation on linemen and has good bend to get around them in block shed. He has the strength to hold his ground when engaged with continual leg drive to allow himself to make a play. Good competitor with continual pursuit of the play. Also plays an H-Back role on offense showing good sustain on his blocks and the ability to run basic routes.
