2027 Rankings Newcomers: Offense

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">In-depth evaluations of some of the offensive newcomers making their debut in the PRZ 2027 state rankings. </h2>    Tauscher makes his debut in the rankings at #57 overall and is the #4 ranked TE. 6'4” 225 lbs. he's got ideal size, length, and frame combined with a versatile skillset that could land him on either side of the ball at the college level. As of now, he projects as TE where he flashes excellent athleticism and movement skills at his size. Can line up as an inline TE or split out wide and be equally effective as a receiver and blocker to by multi-dimensional. As a receiver, he does a good job finding the soft spot in coverage and creating positional leverage at the catch point. He's got a large catch radius and shows he can extend to play the ball outside his framework. Physical as a blocker, he brings high impact contact and can move his feet to sustain throughout the play. High upside prospect that pulled in his initial college offer from Colgate earlier this month.      Farrell enters the rankings at #60 overall and the ninth ranked offensive lineman after a strong sophomore year and being voted All Region. 6'5” 270 lbs. with plenty of room to continue to add mass as he progresses. Stands out for his quickness off the snap in combination with his good technique with his hands and footwork. Beats opponents off the ball firing out with good timing and leverage, gaining early positioning and establishing control at the POA. His quick feet and balance allow him to reach block, climb to the second level, and redirect in space. Fast hands to go from the snap to immediate engagement. With his blend of size, athleticism, and quickness he's got good upside and potential going forward. Transferred to Higley to play out his junior year.      Ford is an up and coming slot with explosive playmaking ability. Electric with the ball in his hands his speed allows him to make game breaking plays on every touch. Sharp route runner that creates easy and consistent separation with great acceleration out of his breaks. His fluid movement skills give him plus change of direction and lateral agility. Possesses a hard drive phase off the LOS to eat up DB's cushion and force an early transition. Strong at the catch point, he's a natural pass catcher that competes for every ball and can make the tough reception in tight spaces. Dangerous after the catch, he's elusive and maintains speed as he cuts to break away from defenders in space. Has a lot of potential and enters the rankings as the #13 WR and #84 overall.      Solid interior offensive lineman that carries a strong and compact frame at 6'1” 290 lbs. Brings a powerful and physical presence to the LOS with the toughness and technique to anchor the middle of the OL. He attacks his blocks with control aggression and a strong, balanced base. Plays with leverage and low pad level to generate movement in the run game and hold his ground against interior pass rushers. Engages with a strong initial punch and violent hands to sustain throughout the play while consistently finishing his blocks. Keeps a clean pocket in pass protection with good awareness and foot mobility to match defenders movement. High football IQ with a good understanding and execution of his assignment. Debuts in the rankings just outside of the top 100 overall and is the seventeenth ranked OL prospect.      McClanahan showed potential as a sophomore and has a strong foundational skillset to build on as he develops. 5'11” 180 lbs. he flashes good vision and patience as the play develops but attacks open lanes when he triggers. Reads the flow of the defense and shows good initial burst through the first level to apply early pressure and bad angles. Like his mix of power and speed as a ball carrier. Demonstrates good start/stop speed and the ability to make quick lateral cuts in space. Can pick up tough yards between the tackles and lower his shoulder to keep forward momentum or get to the perimeter and turn the corner with speed. Does a good job sticking his foot in the ground and working north/south to get up the field. Enters the rankings at #111 overall and inside the top 10 of RBs.
