Spring Showcase: West, Lone Peak, Orem, Mountain Ridge PT2

In this edition, we continue to look at players who made an impact during the showcase    Wesley has added size during the offseason, and a stronger, bigger version of last year will be pretty scary. He is an athletic, physical playmaker who creates mismatches wherever he is lined up. Wesley will shift focus to football once the baseball season is over, but the added weight to his frame will be helpful during the season for added physicality. He brings a great catch radius and a player that you want to throw it up to and play above the rim. He's a solidified Power-Four recruit     Dumas performed well during the 7v7 portion and looked like an athletic weapon that can be deployed in-line or detached. He has soft hands and showcases good movement patterns and transitions well upfield. This will be a big year for Dumas and with a big season, should get looked at regionally in recruiting.     Holmes performed well during the session, showing good footwork and soft hands. He showed good athletic traits and someone that will earn playing time during the season and if he can take advantage of his opportunities, should get some interest in the recruiting ranks     Niumeitolu made an impressive reception during the 1v1 session, where he showed good athleticism to catch the ball thrown slightly behind him, but he made the adjustment on the fly. The depth chart at Lone Peak is crowded, but he showed that he can hang during the evening. He's an interesting yet raw prospect for the 2027 class.     Stonebraker had a good evening. He showcased a good release package during the 1v1 and had good speed to create separation from his defender. Stonebraker has good lateral quickness and moves well overall. He showed soft hands and good ball tracking skills, which transferred over to the 7v7. He turned in quality reps and a player worth noting for the season.     Jacobson has put together a nice offseason, and he continued that on the evening. he looked good during the 5v5 session and did well against physically stronger defensive linemen, used great technique and a strong base to maintain leverage, and held his ground. He'll be best as an interior lineman, but he showed why there's a lot to like about him in recruiting. He's a player who should get looked at regionally.     Stockebrand showed a good base and footwork on the evening and has good strength against most bull-rushers. He held is own against some elite rushers and another lineman who has done a great job this offseason and is honing his craft.     Lopati was fantastic on the evening and showed great strength and physicality in his reps. He has good footwork, moves well laterally, has a great base, keeps great positioning, and leverages. Lopati is a player on the rise and should be looked at as a true D1 prospect. His recruiting should be heating up. He's an excellent interior lineman.     Matina was effective on the night and showed good physicality in his game and held up well. He has quick hands and good footwork. Matina has good technique and will be best as an interior lineman.     Carter had a great evening. He showcased good footwork, explosiveness out of his stance, and good hand technique. Carter is a strong and physical player and can play inside or outside, that versatility should aid him for the upcoming season. Carter is a player who should get looked at regionally in recruiting.     Lutui is an explosive athlete with good strength in his game. He's an athletic player who can be a defensive tackle and can be put on the edge, as he showcases good lateral movement and has good power to bull-rush from the outside. He proved to be too strong during his reps. Lutui is a player who should be on more radars in recruiting.
