His ability to read the play and make the proper read is excellent. Then, as a run stopper, he is a good tackler. He understands how to use proper angles while he makes the right play against the run. Then, as a pass defender, he is excellent at reading the play and getting his hands on the ball thrown his way. He also shows a good ability to read the quarterback's eyes and then make a play on the ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1156199' first='Rex' last='Fatur'] does an excellent job in both coverage and the run game. As a run defender, he has a dynamic ability to make tackles all over the field. His ability to make tackles in or near the line of scrimmage is great. He is also a good blitzer, as he can blitz at different angles to put pressure on the offense. He is also a ball hawk as he can knock down passes thrown near him. The other thing that stands out is his size (6'2”) and athleticism. His ability to read the player and trigger towards the offensive play is excellent. I love his stance and the way he slow plays the offensive play. Then, when he sees it, he plays the ball carrier well. His ability to tackle, especially in or near the line of scrimmage, is excellent. He also makes a ton of plays running sideline-to-sideline against opposing offenses. His ability to take a slant and then turn it into a touchdown catch and run is incredible, as he did several times on film. His after-the-catch ability is next-level good because he has elite track speed. When Orcutt gets into the open field, he is off to the races.
