Our second ever showcase in Virginia was a massive success, with over 100 kids in attendance and close to 10 colleges working the event. We had outstanding efforts in every position group and my colleagues and I will be breaking down thoroughly this week. The running backs had top ranked and underrated prospects from both Maryland and Virginia. Some of the fastest times were out this group below, congrats to Westlake 2026 star Orlando Moss in being named MVP! Here are the overall top performers:

In a deep group that saw some of the top running backs in the DMV it was Westlake's Orlando Moss who earned the MVP honors. Moss was terrific all afternoon and he received high praise from numerous college coaches watching the action. Really good testing results and when it came to the individual drills Moss had won the day. Bright future for this young man, check out some of his reps below.

The top ranked back in our 2027 class I got see up close what Oscar Smith's Ty'Jae Curtis was all about. Curtis arrived early and was on point, you can see why he averaged over 7 yards per carry for reigning class 6 state champs. He is so fluid out of the backfield and had excellent testing results too. The 36th ranked prospect showed why this past Saturday.

Western Branch star [player_tooltip player_id='1311668' first='Dayon' last='Curry'] is impressive up close, I can see why my colleague Vic Castillo was very high on him. A big tough back, Curry is explosive and earned a top performer spot. With some of the best overall testing results including his 40, I could see him getting offers very soon. He is a tremendous athlete and showed everyone why in Charlottesville.

My local connection and Woodbridge proud [player_tooltip player_id='412072' first='Marquece' last='Sharpe Jr.'] was terrific and he showed why he was an all conference performer this past fall. Sharpe had one of the fastest 40s from the 100 plus kids in attendance and really stood out during the individual work. You can see how he does drills so effortlessly, expect him to be ranked very high in our new 2028 rankings.

One of the fastest/quickest prospects I had the pleasure of watching yesterday was [player_tooltip player_id='1667138' first='Cj' last='Gray']. Playing for Trinity Episcopal Gray was elusive in the 1vs1s and impressive in the testing. A broad jump that high for his height should tell you enough, Gray is a star in the making.
