Powe had a breakout year as a sophomore and quickly became a key piece for the defense. He finished fifth on the team with 61 tackles, added 2 TFLs, 2 PBUs, and a forced fumble. He's got good range and sees things well, which helps him stay in position and clean up plays. He's a solid tackler in space and doesn't get caught out of position much. You can tell he's a multi-sport athlete with the way he moves and covers ground. It was a strong jump from him this year, and I think there's still more coming.

Scott is a big, physical linebacker who's built his frame up the right way. He had a good junior season with 40 total tackles, 6.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and 15 quarterback hurries. He showed he can create pressure and make plays near the line of scrimmage. He hits with authority, reads the run well, and plays best when he's coming downhill. He'll be the one anchoring the middle of the defense this fall, and with his size and physicality, he's set up to lead the way.

Reddick is a bigger backend player who has long strides and good range. He could be a hybrid type player with his frame and strength near the line. He covers ground well and can close windows with his length. He put together his best season yet with 34 tackles and 3 PBUs, showing he can stay active in coverage and come up to finish plays. With his frame and the experience he's built over the years, he's set up for a solid senior season.

Miller got some work last season and used those reps to build confidence. He finished with 10 tackles and made a handful of plays that showed flashes of what he can bring to the defense. Last year was about getting his feet wet and giving him live game experience, and it served its purpose. With that under his belt, he's in a good spot heading into this year where he should take on a much bigger role and be a key piece in the rotation.

Horton is a lengthy athlete who I felt had really good year on both sides of the ball. He's got good closing speed and can chew up yardage with his stride length. He's got some twitch to his movements and an eye for the ball. He had 24 tackles this year and 3 interceptions. I like where he's at and feel like he's a guy who can become a quiet leader for the defense as he enters year 4. Horton then had 39 grabs for 370 yards and 5 TDs offensively. He's quick off the line and has good top-end speed. He's got a good feel for DB because he plays both ways and it's noticeable how he picks up on tendencies and learns.
