Film Friday: Top Early Summer Must Offer Prospects

The Carlsbad signal caller is a very good athlete from the pocket and shows exceptional awareness, pocket presence and solid throwing mechanics downfield. He is accurate on the intermediate and deep pass, and does a nice job putting air under his throws to allow his receivers to run underneath. He is very mobile when evading pressure and keeping his eyes downfield, while showing he can throw on the run and from various angles when improvising outside the pocket. Heading into his Senior year, he will be one of the top returning passers across the San Diego Section.     Bowman is one of the top inside linebackers across all of Southern California heading into the season. He has elite closing speed, is a true banger in between the tackles and is extremely violent at the point of attack while a very efficient tackler in tight windows. He shows he can scrape over the top and moves quick laterally while able to shock blockers or bend in order to win at the line. He is a highly instinctual player with a quick trigger and can cover ground from sideline to sideline while seemingly always are on the ball. He is one of the more under-recruited kids across the region and is looking to be a steal for any FCS+ program.     Caldwell is a true vertical threat that can stretch the field and has a huge catch radius downfield with deceptive speed due to his long strides and ability to chunk yards with ease. He has a huge catch radius, strong hands in traffic and tracking the ball well over the top with good body control and balance. He nearly went for 1,000 yards in his Junior season and tacked on another 10 touchdowns. He is a very intriguing prospect for the next level due to position versatility and could be used either as a slot or outside receiver and will only continue to pack on weight to his massive frame.     Bell is one of the top returning backs across Northern California, and has been one of the regions best for the past several years. He is a twitchy and explosive runner that shows good vision in tight windows, cutback abilities and is a home run threat once in the open field. Although a bit undersized, he possesses an initial elite burst, open field speed and natural hands out of the backfield with a very decorated career up to this point. Expect Bell to have a huge year in 2025 for Liberty, for what should be one of the top teams in the North Coast Section once again.     Herr is a very technically sound passer that gets the ball out fast and moves through his progressions quickly. He is a on-schedule thrower that can fit the ball into tight windows and throws a tight spiral at all three levels. He shows he can feel pressure and is not afraid to step up and take a hit in order to deliver the ball downfield while also showing he can throw on the run and across his body. He has a snappy release and does a good job using his lower half to generate power downfield. Although more of a pocket passer, he can run if needed and has excellent foot work and awareness with the ball his hands. Currently he holds offers from Western Michigan and East Carolina.
