<h2 class="wp-block-heading">In-depth evaluations of the 2027 prospects who are turning heads with their initial college offers.</h2>    Tahi has been PRZ's top ranked DL prospect in the 2027 class and is starting to get the recruiting attention he deserves after offers coming in from Illinois and then Missouri. 6'3” 300 lbs. he has the ideal measurements and physical skillset that major D1 programs look for the interior DL. Has a good mix of speed and power moves to beat blockers. Plus initial quickness off the ball with a fast first step and shows he can redirect in the short area to pursue the ball. Excellent natural strength while playing with leverage to shed blockers and control his gap. Equally effective as a run stopper that is tough to move and as a pass rusher that can collapse the pocket from the inside. High football IQ to diagnose the play and react. Shows he can feel and react to screens. Recruitment is just beginning and will see more P4 programs come through.      Haynie is an impressive athlete at 6'4” 225 lbs. He's got a good frame with length and growth potential to add weight as he develops without losing his first step explosiveness and lateral movement skills. Combination of length and athleticism gives him a natural advantage as both a run stopper and pass rusher. Flashes good bend and acceleration around the edge with good variety of usage of different moves to beat blockers. Great ability to free himself up and disengage from blockers. Plays with a high motor chasing plays down from the backside and constantly attacking as a pass rusher. Finished the 2024 season with 46 tackles, 12.5 TFL, and three sacks. Great versatility to also play TE. Pulled in his initial college offer from Northern Arizona.      Kennedy is a high upside prospect that picked up his first offer from Northern Arizona after a strong performance at the spring showcase. 6'6” 275 lbs. he carries ideal size, length, and natural athleticism to be a major D1 prospect. Possesses a well-rounded skillset to be a powerful run blocker and effective pass protector. Moves his feet extremely well at his size and age showing he can block in space as a puller and when working to the second level. Uses his short area quickness to get out in front and adjust his angles based on defenders movement. Brings heavy initial contact in run game to create movement. In his pass set, he shows fluid footwork and balance when mirroring edge rushers to stay in front. Good ability to establish positional leverage and recover when challenged with counter moves. Strong bloodlines with his dad, Lincoln Kennedy, playing the NFL and for University of Washington.     Sorensen's recruiting stock is skyrocketing with five D1 offers coming in since the start of the spring contact period. First offered by Texas Tech he has since picked up Sacramento State, Baylor, Colorado State, and Northern Arizona. Possesses an athletic 6'5” 295 lb. frame with great weight distribution and balance. Active with his feet and hands at the contact point, he's able to stay in front and control opponents throughout the play. Length allows him to establish early contact while showing a strong punch and violent finishing ability. He plays with leverage and accelerates his feet through engagement. Strong anchor to absorb an oncoming rush without giving ground. Transferred into AZ Compass from McClintock to play out his junior year. Recruitment will continue to rise and will be a double digit D1 offer prospect before long.      Hawkins is one of the top 8 Man players in the state and was an explosive playmaker help AZ Compass go undefeated during the 2024 season. 5'11” 160 lbs. he's elective with the ball in his hands showing great twitch, change of direction, and top end speed. Gets involved in the offense in a variety of ways stretching the field vertically, attacking the short/intermediate levels, and taking carries from the backfield and slot. A plus route runner that sets up his routes with good stems to create positional leverage then uses his sudden cuts and burst out of his breaks to create separation from defenders. Good ability to drop his hip level at the top of the route to get in and out of his breaks. Strong ball skills with a catch radius that extends outside his framework. Excels after the catch where he is elusive and can break away to create game breaking plays. Picked up his first offer from Colorado State last week.
