At just 14 years old, Brooks boasts an elite frame for a running back, standing over 6 feet tall and tipping the scales at over 200 pounds — size that rivals many varsity-level backs.   But it wasn't just the measurables that stood out. Brooks showcased exceptional footwork and agility, traits rarely seen in backs of his size and age. His ability to cut, accelerate, and change direction mirrored that of the older, more seasoned athletes in the camp. Despite being the youngest in his group, Brooks' explosiveness and fluidity in drills made him nearly indistinguishable from top upperclassmen.   During the highly competitive 1-on-1s, Brooks was dominant — routinely creating separation, adjusting to off-target throws, and finishing plays with authority. His natural balance, body control, and hands were on full display, highlighting a complete skill set that should only continue to develop.   With his combination of size, athleticism, and advanced technique, Demetrius Brooks is a name to watch. He projects as one of the premier backs in the Class of 2029 and has the potential to be a nationally recognized prospect in the coming years.    2. Joneil Cabrero Arroyo WR-2028 Albermarle High School    Joneil Cabrero Arroyo | WR | Class of 2028 📍Albemarle High School   Arroyo is a true speedster who made a name for himself with electrifying plays and next-level athleticism. Clocked at a blazing 4.5 flat 40 (laser-timed) — fastest at the event — he's a threat to score every time he touches the ball. What sets him apart? His ability to make tough catches in traffic and turn spectacular grabs into what look like routine plays.   Keep your eyes on Arroyo this season — big things are coming. 💯    3. Javier Padilla WR-2028 West Stanly High School    Javier Padilla | WR | Class of 2028 📍West Stanly High School   Another blazing-fast wideout in the '28 class, Padilla brings energy, polish, and a veteran-like presence to the field. Though not the biggest receiver in the group, he plays much bigger than his frame suggests — with confidence, sharp routes, and strong hands.   During the individual portion of camp, Padilla stood out as the most polished WR. His smooth footwork and familiarity with the drills made it clear he's been here before. Definitely a name to keep on your radar this season. 💪🏽💨    4. Kevin Mcbryde RB -2029 Hough High School    Kevin McBryde | RB | Class of 2029 📍Hough High School (NC)   Hough has built a reputation as one of North Carolina's top pipelines for collegiate talent — and with Kevin McBryde joining the program, that legacy looks set to continue.   An incoming freshman with eye-popping potential, McBryde worked at running back during camp but showed the physicality and versatility to project as a linebacker or edge just as easily. His size, instincts, and athleticism make him a matchup nightmare in the making.   There's no ceiling on McBryde's future — Hough may have just landed their next star. 🌟💼    5. Kaleb Cullingford Edge-2026 West Stanly High School    Kaleb Cullingford | LB/Edge | Class of 2026 📍West Stanly High School   Kaleb Cullingford is a plug-and-play difference maker — the type of player who looks ready to contribute to a college program tomorrow. With a high floor and proven production, Cullingford might be flying under the radar compared to flashier prospects, but make no mistake — he's the real deal.   He dominated 1-on-1s at camp, showing off a mix of power, technique, and elite motor. Then he turned heads again in the testing phase, flashing legit speed that makes him a threat on both the edge and at linebacker.   Expect Cullingford to be a name college coaches circle this season. He's built for Saturdays — and sooner than later, they'll all know it. 🏈🚀    6. Izaiah Bratton OL -2027 West Stanly High School    Izaiah Bratton – Offensive Lineman | Class of 2027 | West Stanly   Izaiah Bratton has all the measurables that college programs at any level look for in an offensive lineman. Standing nearly 6'5” and weighing over 300 pounds, he combines size with athleticism—showing quick feet, fast hands, and impressive length with long arms. The physical tools are already in place; now it's up to Izaiah to determine how far he wants to take his game. The ceiling is sky-high.    7. Though he primarily camped at safety, he consistently made plays at wide receiver, showing natural instincts and ball skills. He first caught my attention with a laser-timed 4.6 40-yard dash, and at over 6 feet tall and nearing 180 pounds, he already has the frame and athleticism college coaches covet. Just a sophomore, Helms has a bright future ahead.    8. Carter Yow LB - 2026 West Stanly High School    Carter Yow – Linebacker | Class of 2026 | West Stanly   Carter Yow is a college-ready prospect with a high floor and the tools to contribute right away at the next level. The rising senior brings physicality, football IQ, and consistency to the linebacker position. He's the type of player who can step into a college program and make an immediate impact—coaches looking for a reliable, tough, and prepared defender should keep a close eye on Yow.    9. He camped at wide receiver, showing smooth route-running and speed, but if you saw him lined up at tight end, you'd view him in a whole new light. He's long, athletic, and runs extremely well. With a frame that could easily hold another 20–25 pounds, Lattimore has the potential to grow into a dynamic mismatch at the next level—whether out wide or attached.    10. His performance at camp immediately grabbed my attention—so much so that I had to check out his film. What I saw matched the energy he brought in person: a physical, downhill defender who's quick to the ball and unafraid of contact. Wright plays with the kind of edge and intensity that translates well under the lights. Definitely one to watch in the 2027 class.
