Tokheim got his feet wet contributing on offense and defense as a sophomore in 2024 but really impacted the Lions' special teams. He returned 13 punts for 293 yards (22.5 YPR) and two touchdowns, and brought back 10 kicks for 218 yards. He rushed for 493 yards (7.4 YPC) and five scores splitting running back duties. Five of his 9.0 tackles were of the solo variety. The potential is there for him to take a considerable step forward as a three-phase standout next season. The beginning of his sophomore highlight video reveals how he picked up ground yards. He's a nice mix of power and speed as a ball carrier. He's balanced with a burst and escapability.

Versatility and production were the calling cards for Schmitt during his sophomore campaign. He contributed in all three phases. On offense, he caught 27 passes for 258 yards and rushed for 135 more on 22 carries. Schmitt racked up 70.5 tackles (62.0 solo, 3.0 TFL) and a pair of picks. He averaged 20.0 yards on 14 kick returns. Schmitt's sophomore highlight video shows us a receiver capable of delivering difficult catches and making people miss in space. He can also get deep. Schmitt packs promise as a defensive back. He sticks in coverage and is a sound tackler. Much of what helps him in the first two phases make him effective as a returner.

Playing for a historically strong program, McIntire proves to be a dynamic performer when viewing his sophomore highlight video. The first few clips confirm speed being a big part of his game. McIntire is not someone a defense wants to let get free in space. He can pick up tough yards inside, too. In a running back committee last season, he gained 566 yards (6.2 YPC) and notched six touchdowns, adding 12 receptions for 114 yards and a score. McIntire contributed on defense and special teams. His skill set would play well in either of those phases, where he'll probably see an increased work load in 2025.

Alexander's starter kit should be enticing for college scouts. He brings size, speed and athleticism to the position. They give him a high ceiling if he continues developing so he's ready to deliver with more opportunities. Alexander caught 11 passes for 177 yards and a touchdown in 2024. In watching his sophomore highlight video, we see Alexander take advantage of his 6-foot-2 frame and long arms. He rips off crisp routes whether lining up on the outside or from the slot. Alexander runs well and should be able to hold that athleticism as he adds weight and strength.

Ballou stands out in eight-player football with the necessary skills to thrive in the extra space provided by having fewer players on the field. He's a quick athlete with burst but also operates with physicality on both sides of the ball. Ballou rushed for 241 yards and a TD, and caught 12 balls for 99 yards and another score. Thirty eight of his 59.5 tackles were of the solo variety. Ballou racked up 9.0 tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. His sophomore highlight video on defense reveals how he produced at such a high level. Ballou diagnoses the offense quickly and flows well to the ball. Ballou wraps up and drops the opponent, often before he can get started.

Bellcock contributed as a rusher and receiver while a 10th-grader last season. He caught three touchdown passes and added a pair of two-point conversions. On defense, he totaled 29.0 tackles (15 solo, 1.0 TFL) and recovered a fumble. When we pop on his sophomore highlight video, he shows us how he makes plays. The Mustangs move him around the offensive formation. One snap Bellcock will be at tight end and the next he'll show up at running back or in the slot. He's dangerous with the rock in his hands, but he also embraces blocking and does it proficiently. Bellcock's tape lacks defensive clips, but you can see the traits needed to succeed on that side of the ball on there.
