Early Michigan Combine Series Preview

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We're only a few weeks out from the Prep Redzone Combine Series in Detroit. This time around, we already have an extremely strong roster with several players (way more than the 5 in this article) that I'm looking forward to watching. Should be a great event, hopefully with some college coaches in attendance. This is a player that I'm obviously very high on. Ranked high amongst D1 prospects despite zero D1 offers. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Luke's tape is simply a step amove most MAC prosepcts. He's one of, if not the best run stopper in the state. Extremely physical, year-round worker, etc. I do have a few questions about how he is in man coverage, and his testing numbers will shed some light on his ceiling. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Regardless, Luke is a hard worker, a competitor, and someone who I think will find success this summer. I'm very excited to see this guy test and throw in front of college coaches. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I already have a good idea of Peyton's throwing ability. This is a player with a massive arm. Someone who can fire the ball 30+ downfield with ease and someone who can throw fastballs to the shorter routes. The biggest question with his throwing is accuracy. Sometimes, Peyton is just a tad off with his passes. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm especially excited to see Peyton's testing numbers. On tape, Peyton's athleticism shines. He was an absolutely crucial piece for a team that nearly made it to the State Championship. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Offensively, Kayden found a ton of success at running back. I like his downhill, no-nonsense running style. As a power runner, I would have liked to see better contact balance, especially against the tougher teams. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Defensively, Kayden was a high-motor outside linebacker. I like his physicality, and I like the reaction time. Kayden will likely be a DE/OLB in college.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm looking forward to seeing Kayden's testing numbers. Come to know, he's already got two Division 1 offers from Howard and Southern Miss. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Not a whole lot of tape out there, but from what I can find, Amir is clearly superb for his age. The few throws I can find have decent velocity and great placement. The velocity will fix itself with age, but that placement is someone that's very difficult to teach. He did well during our last camp, showing standout power and excellent balance. Jacob does a great job of keeping a low, balanced center of gravity, shuffling his feet, and staying anchored. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I need to finally get a good in-person look at Jacob.
