I expect all of these players to be good D2-D3 prospects in a year's time. A couple of these guys were primarily JV players in 2024, but are set up well to have great Varsity seasons as Juniors. A couple of them played full-time Varsity ball in 2024, and all of those guys did incredible. Super excited to talk about these five players!

De La Salle is an extremely large program, and they always seem to have several Division 1/2 prospects. That said, Jimmy has a chance to be one of those elite De La Salle dudes. 6'2" height doesn't hurt, either.

Speaking on his tape, Jimmy played well at the JV level. His first highlight shows a great read and tackle on the quick RB screen. Second, another great read, react, and tackle, this time against the inside run. Truly one of the best JV linebackers I've watched on tape. With a good offseason, Jimmy should be ready for Varsity. Hopefully I'll see Jimmy sometime this offseason, and I'm sure I'll catch a De La Salle game sometime next season.

Absolute gem and definite sleeper from Glen Lake. No wonder he earned all-state honors last season because these highlights are impressive.

One area that Dominic excels at is kick-out blocking. Dominic is fast enough to pull and lay a massive hit on the 5-tech on the opposite side of the formation. Engaging in a more standard base block, Dominic is aggressive as heck and straight-up eliminates defenders. For example, watch 3:03 as Dominic takes one step, lowers a shoulder, and levels the linebacker.

Dominic is a really, really good high school offensive lineman. In terms of college recruitment, he'll need to attend off-season camps and impress. He's also a tad lighter and smaller than most Tackle prospects. My gut says that he has a good chance to become a D2 prospect if he fully commits to improving his technique, body, and overall value in the next year.

Troy floated around JV and Varsity last season and had a fair amount of Varsity highlights.

The first couple of highlights show Troy's speed in the open field. Taking handoffs on the Jet Sweep, Troy does a good job at closely following his blocks and exploding through open space at just the right time. Then, plays like 0:46 highlight some more of his quickness and vision. Even though it was a minimal gain, Troy did a great job to break a tackle and at least gain a couple of yards. There's even a kick return highlight at 1:06.

All signs point toward Troy being a big part of the Romeo Program this coming season. He's a great open-field option, and a potentially great kick returner. Excited to watch him play this offseason or in the Fall!

Nathaniel is a deep threat through and through. Mostly lining up outside but also sometimes in the slot, Nathaniel has the burst to outrun most DBs, and the change of direction to earn separation against equal athletes.

The first highlight shows a decent double move and an even better catch. My only reservation with the route is that he immediately looked back at the ball, and slowed way down- enough to give the DB a chance. Though, Nathaniel did a great job of high-pointing that ball in very tight coverage. Next, a great fade + corner route against AA Pioneer, the former going for a TD, and the ladder being an impressive 1-handed grab.

The rest of the tape shows several move good deep routes. I really like the athleticism, I like the route running, and I think he's good enough to be a college prospect. One major area in which I want to see improvement is finishing every route. Too often does Nathaniel slow down and turn his head, allowing the opposing DB to catch up. Looking forward to seeing Nathaniel this offseason, as I think he'd perform well at camps.

I see you, Asher!

Asher is a quick, physical EDGE rusher from Haslett. His first highlight are his best- the tape kicks off with an excellent hit on the attempted kickout blocker and a good tackle. Second, a great push into the C gap, negating the tackle's efforts and ruining the power run. Third, a good speed rush, pressure, and eventual tackle.

The rest of Asher's tape doesn't reach the highs of his first 3 highlights, but the general theme is still there. Against the run, Asher is patient yet physical. If he's play side, Asher will do his best to anchor down, duck past blockers, and make the tackle. If he's not play side, he does a solid job of chasing down the ball carrier.

If Asher is truly 6'4", he has a chance to be a good EDGE prospect. Based on this tape and this tape alone, I could see Asher being a D2 prospect in a year, but that's going off limited information.
