Back to the linemen group and rising senior [player_tooltip player_id='1298275' first='Ahmad' last='Nofal'] looks tough as nails for the Stallions. Amongst a few South County linemen on hand, the returning starter was impressive during the 1vs1 portion. Nofal is stout and elusive at 6'0 and 240 lbs., and was an all district center a year ago. With a new coaching staff and a number of new starters, Nofal's leadership will be relied upon as the Stallions have a tough schedule. He looks ready to take the next step in his development and should have a good senior season.

Spent some time talking about McLean yesterday but I had to get back to the play of quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1298585' first='Lucas' last='Jones'], he was excellent on Saturday. The team captain and potential FCS athlete Jones looks poised for a monster senior season with the Highlanders. He is cool and calm in the pocket and boasts a ridiculous 4.2 GPA. He is on the radar for many Ivy League schools and that should not surprise you. I could definitely see him at Penn, Harvard or Brown in two years and playing early their as well.

I had to get a close look at FBS prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1297879' first='Aidan' last='Reid'] on Saturday and of course he did not disappoint. Reid clearly looks ready to play at the next level, check out the space he creates on the route below. Up to 10 Division 1 offers, his route running is superb and his blocking is on point too. Expect the Highlanders to be very competitive and to control the clock offensively this fall. When you have Reid and Cafer as your potential tight ends, no reason they cannot dominate.

West Springfield looked like they were on a revenge tour from last seasons early playoff exit and [player_tooltip player_id='1297867' first='Anthony' last='Bello'] is looking more and more like an FCS level tight end. He is 6'4 and has good hands, Bello is going to have a monster final season for the Spartans. Looking more and more comfortable in his new position, he is another tight end in this 2026 class that you should see playing on Saturdays.

Personally I thought [player_tooltip player_id='1664376' first='Evan' last='Shorter'] looked the best of all the defensive backs on hand at Osbourn Park High School. He has good instincts and his footwork shows you he knows what he is doing out their. Shorter made plays on offense too and should look for a bigger role on that side of the ball in 2025. Defensively is where I can see him at the next level, he looks like an all region defensive back.

Skyline was missing a few stars this past weekend but it didnt matter as young bucks like [player_tooltip player_id='1664377' first='Brady' last='Lupton'] were more than willing to step up. Be on the lookout for this kid, he is a soon to be sophomore and should have significant role for the Hawks offensively in 2025. Lupton is 6'3 and 205 lbs., once he grows into his own strength the young man has a very bright future. He made some tough contested catches and got right back up wanting more. You have to admire something like that, I swear I saw him numerous times make a catch, take a hit and get right back up. Big fan of this young man and hopefully he can help Skylines offense this season.

Coach Holland is really building out their for the Yellowjackets and he has a slew of young playmakers like [player_tooltip player_id='1664378' first='Jermaine' last='Keith'] to keep an eye on. Already 6'0 and 170 lbs., you will be hearing a lot from this dude for the next three seasons. One of the best defensive backs this past weekend, Keith has some serious ball skills. Remember his name as he will also be ranked in our new 2028 class (debuting next month).
