Today, we did a micro update of our South Dakota 2026 rankings as plenty has changed in the last handful of months due to getting live evals, young men getting increased exposure on their recruiting trail, and more. These six targets were some of the ones that saw themselves moved up due to what we listed above and all six of them I feel could grow even further up our 2026 recruiting depending on how their summer lays out.

The 6'4 290 pounder out of Wall saw his stock rise 15+ spots from our last 2026 update, as when you flash the tape, it's easy to see why. I came away impressed with the fluidity of Riley's first step as he looks quicker than a testing number might show you. This young man is absoulute bonecrusher when he makes contact at the point of attack and does show with empowering pad-level that wastes no time knocking dudes on their rear end. He also is well-versed with his width of his stance which also intrigues me with his upside. He constantly gets to the second level and opens up the floodgates of the Wall Eagles running game with a ton of power. One NSIC offer so far came from Wayne State, but man I think it's going to be a huge summer for Riley raising his offer count.

I knew this young man's recruitment was going to take off a handful of months ago, and now it surely has in the last couple of weeks with one FCS offer and a handful of NSIC offers now on his resume. The 6'4 220 pounder from Tea Area, shows off a powerful stance and his get off is very quick and oozes with fluidity with his movement into the backfield. He gets off his blocks like the tight end or offensive linemen are barely there and shows off quick and powerful hands at the point of attack. Chase is a sound pass-rusher and is rangy and has room to grow in a college football strength program with that frame as another one I can see the blow up starting to come around before summer camps.

I can tell you, I wasn't surprised when Felipe landed his first NSIC offer about a month back, because this young man has constantly gotten better during every Live eval I have gotten over the past several months. The 6'3 295 lb nose tackle from Aberdeen central, shows off very powerful hands that already in my eyes translate at the next level. Not only does Felipe have the power in his hands, he also has great short area vision as a run stuffer. Felipe also shows off one of the best twitches in The Dakotas at nose tackle off his first step. He is another young man that I believe his recruitment will heat up over the next three to four months. Up around 40+ spots from our last 2026 update.

Jase is one our top performers when it comes down to the weight room with this update. He is added 15 to 20 lb to his frame since last update which is intriguing going into camp season. The 6'3 220 pound athlete from Sioux Falls O'Gorman, is a quick identifier with his vision at linebacker wasting no time getting off blocks and finding the backfield. At tight end, Jace shows off the athleticism off of snap and with his hands and catch radius that looks like a great fit as a tight end at the next level but his versatility screams out on both sides of the ball. Jase also doesn't need much room to operate with his hands in high traffic areas as I can quickly gauge that he has a sound football IQ that is only going to get better. Jase is also one of the most wirey tight ends I have seen in the Dakotas in this 2026 class. He certainly should grow his recruiting trail at camps this summer in my eyes. Up 20 + spots with this micro update..

Cale is a defensive back out of Yankton that I am kicking myself that I didn't have higher prior to this micro update. The 6'3 185 pounder plays with one of the most intriguing football IQ at safety in South Dakota as a prospect that is always in the right positioning at the right time. He was an Allstate DB in 2024 that logged a whopping eight interceptions for the Bucks as a junior. Cale shows off a excellent first step that doesn't take long to get downhill and stop the run quickly either as the competitive balance with this young man is super intriguing going in the summer camp season. He is another Prospect that has benefited during the live evals at our Prep Redzone Dakotas combine and is up 10 plus spots from last 2026 update. If I were a college recruiter, I would offer this kid ASAP.

Our tight end MVP at our winter Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine finds himself up nearly 10 spots from our last 2026 South Dakota update. The 6'3 215 pounder from Rapid City St Thomas More, had the college coaches in attendance quite intrigued based on my conversations. Max has showed off as a well-versed route Runner that also has an eye-catching vertical and is smooth with his hands in high traffic areas. He also shows off all the fluidity you want to see in live reps from start to finish as Max constantly is able to find great separation rep after rep. I wouldn't be surprised to see Max keep rising up our 2026 board at all over the coming several months.

A wide receiver we have had on our radar since he was in eighth grader, has erupted over the last handful of months and has one of the brightest summers upcoming on the camp trail. Jhace has all the length any Division 1 program will want on their roster as Jhace's upside has surely progressed quickly like we expected fall into spring season. Jhace is one the best wide receivers in the Dakotas in high traffic areas, and makes every rep around them look like clockwork in my eyes. I also love how highly sound Jhace is with getting his seperation set up with getting yards after the catch as one that is a long strider that can stretch the field as a constant deep threat. Jhace already has a handful of FCS offers and I would be remissed if I didn't think FBS offers were coming soon. One that has entered our top five with this micro update of the South Dakota 2026 class.
