I spent my late night tonight answering the question for the college coaches out there. Which 2027 prospect would I not wait around if I was in thier shoes as a recruiting coordinator? Of course with the fear that a rival school could snatch them up in the conference which would be a daunting task to think of if I were in their shoes. These five stuck out as prospects that answer that question and more.

I feel like I have been on the [player_tooltip player_id='1113077' first='Ian' last='Schweigert'] train for a couple years now and yet after all that barking, he only has one D2 offer on his recruiting trail thus far. I think he's one of the best nose tackles in the Dakotas in this class and blends his high motor with power and agility that fire out quickly with his first step and is super fluid at 6'2 275 pounds and has been for a while. He's excellent at unlocking his hands with great timing and pursuit angles on a persistent basis. He's been a DL MVP for almost a couple of years now at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase and surely should have more attention than he does right now.

The size you see on Nelson's Prep Redzone Dakotas profile is legit and if you roll the tape you'll see it quickly. Thus far, Nelson just holds one NAIA offer which is mind-blowing in March for an athlete with his measurables and athletic ability. He has the big play ability you want with his hands and has almost man vs. boys instincts as an EDGE rusher on the other side of the football as a tackler and getting off blocks at the 9-man level. The 6'8 215 pound tight end has sound 1v1 ability as not only does he overmatch them from a size profile, but the athleticism that Nelson boosts with his hands are almost video game like at times. Talked to one D1 recruiter and he agreed, he should be on more recruiting boards in the Midwest.

Anytime you see a sub 10.8 100-meter dash time on the track and that prospect also is a wide receiver, that alone in this neck of the woods should get next-level attention, but not quite yet for Minot's [player_tooltip player_id='1614523' first='James' last='Pallotta']. That speed translates well for James as a route-runner, as one that has a well-versed route tree that can be a great athlete on all three levels. He's one of the most poised wide receivers in both Dakotas with contested catches, as James time and time on tape looks smooth on vertical or horizontal routes with his hands. No offers yet and really light interest.

This last name might ring a bell to those that follow NDSU Bison football, as there is another Thielges brother on the loose waiting for their first offer from LaMoure-Litchville-Marion. If you are looking for a deep threat wide receiver that can get seperation on vertical or horizontal routes and can play on an island as a safety, Colby could be a fit on either side of the ball for your program. The 6'0 185 pounder is a great athlete that is slippery with his change of direction as I can't wait to see what his pro agility time looks like at camp this summer as he certainly shows off to be explosive. I have him rated as our DB3, but he surely could be an athlete on either side of the ball, but surely I like the production at wide receiver.

Yet another recent DL MVP from our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase comes from Fargo South's [player_tooltip player_id='1314685' first='Kullen' last='Cooper'] who won it this winter in Aberdeen. Kullen hit the weight room from our Spring to Winter showcase adding over 15 pounds of muscle so I can't wait to see where he ends up for this upcoming camp season. The 6'2 235 pounder also added a ton of explosiveness off his first step and a more balanced plethora of pass-rush moves at his disposal. Roll the tape and tell me you are not looking for a defensive end that finishes his tackles with urgency and physicality nearly every rep he gets.
