As we approach the end of March, the 2025 high school football offseason is in full force. With that being said, we have started a new round of rankings updates with the class of 2028 being the most recent to be released in the state of Kentucky. After already covering the top players at each position, I wanted to take some time to focus on some under the radar prospects who fell just outside the top five at their positions. To kick things off, here are some under the radar prospects in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky on the offensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217665' first='Chase' last='Bell'] served in a backup role as a freshman but he has put together some impressive film that has caught my attention. Bell has a strong arm which he is able to use to stretch the field and lead his receivers away from opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He has also shown impressive ball placement, showing the ability to put the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. Chase should definitely be a player to keep an eye on heading into his sophomore year as he looks to compete for the starting job.

[player_tooltip player_id='1553199' first='Caden' last='Scott'] is a quarterback who found himself in the starting role as a freshman. In his first season, Scott completed 68/133 passes for 818 yards, 11 touchdowns, and nine interceptions in nine games. Caden showed impressive accuracy, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receiver could catch it. He also showed the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Scott will be an intriguing quarterback prospect to watch as he continues to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id='423487' first='Jett' last='Boyd'] is a player who caught my attention as a middle schooler and got some variety action as a freshman. He showed some promised as a ball carrier, showing the speed to burst through the running lane and run away from the defense once he hits the open field. Boyd has also shown the elusiveness to make defenders miss with ease. He finished this past season with six carries for 37 yards and a touchdown in 14 varsity games while also catching four passes for 30 yards. Jett will be a player to keep an eye on as his role in the Somerset offense continues to grow over the next few years.

[player_tooltip player_id='1009791' first='Ayden' last='Fountain'] is another player who saw some varsity action as a freshman and put together some solid film. Fountain lines up at receiver where he is a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation with ease. He has also shown the ability to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. Ayden finished his freshman year with three receptions for 37 yards in six varsity games. Fountain will be another player to keep an eye on as his role continues to grow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1294694' first='Tatyn' last='Skidmore'] had a strong freshman year at right tackle for Breathitt County. He plays with a ton of physicality in the run game, showing a strong initial punch that frequently knocks opposing defenders off balance with ease. Skidmore also does a great job of running his feet through contact to create movement off the line of scrimmage and drive his man down the field. Tatyn will definitely be a player to keep an eye on heading into his sophomore season.

My final under the radar offensive prospect to watch in the class of 2028 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='1593704' first='Kaysin' last='Cato']. Cato impressed as a freshman, starting at center for John Hardin. He proved to be very reliable in the run game, showing the ability to get the snap of quickly then drive through his man to drive them out of the picture to create a running lane. Kaysin finishes his blocks with a ton of physicality, resulting in frequent pancake blocks. Cato will be an offensive lineman to keep an eye on as he continues to develop over the next three seasons.
