We make our rounds over to the Yankton Area, which over the years has produced plenty of scholarship-level talent so we were sure to try and find the most we could that fit the mold. We stretched to about 30 minutes outside of Yankton as well, in which we found a couple prospects that look like next-level fits in our eyes.

A wide receiver that has picked up some steam this winter into spring is Gayville-Volin's [player_tooltip player_id='825400' first='Carter' last='Barron'], as one that I genuinely think getting 7v7 reps has helped him grow his game. He has grown by showing off smooth hands and field awareness in the reps I have seen this winter especially around the edges. The tape shows off a prospect that is very efficent as a return man who crated several splash plays and great vision. The best is yet to come for Carter in my eyes with upcoming camp season, heading into his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1235835' first='Edly' last='Amaro'], DL, Yankton 2026 Twitter

The now 6'4 235 pounder for the Yankton Bucks, is a defensive end prospect that my gut tells me is going to be an impact player to know. Edly shows off a twitchy first step and is mobile off his blocks showing off great pure athlecism finding the ball carrier as a defensive end that has ideal next-level measurables already. He shows off barrelling movement that the second he makes contact with the ball carrier, the physicality on contact shows off mightly. I would expect Edly to be a defensive end that college coaches at the D1 and D2 levels are going to be attentive into tracking this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1575885' first='Cale' last='Haselhorst'], DB, Yankton 2026 Twitter

Cale is a defensive back that has grown on me over the last 6-9 months out of Yankton High. The verified 6'3 185 pounder, shows off a high football IQ and shows off quick instincts getting downhill to the ball. The balance that Cale shows off in run vs. pass coverage also intrigues me on tape. During the live-eval, Cale was in the top-tier amongst the defensive back group and was named to my first team at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine. Love this kid's range, as one that should surely get plenty of attention this summer at camps.

Major Aarstad, ATH, Bon Homme 2027 Twitter

Major is a first look 2027 athlete that shows off some intriguing upside out of Bon Homme. He shows off pursuading athletic movement as a defensive back as a quick identifer of the ball carrier with his vision. That vision impresses as well offensively, as the 5'8 175 pounder runs well downhill and shows off a durability skillset that meshes well as an athlete that maxs 405 pounds on the squat rack. Major also shows off a sudden burst that processes with a bigger game speed than you might grasp from a 40-yard dash. One to know out of Bon Homme, 30 minutes west of Yankton.

[player_tooltip player_id='1264235' first='Karson' last='Kral'], RB/LB, Yanton 2027

The tape might be a little light at the moment for Karson, but what is there is some great potential brewing into his junior season for the Bucks. His reps at running back showed off a target that has sound fluidity from start to finish what shows off the athleticism that is growing that this young man's disposal. I also like the balanced poised that Karson runs with around the edges of the field, as he shows off as patiently waiting for his blockers to set the edge. The little brother of 11AA All-Stater and Mount Marty commit, [player_tooltip player_id='1568212' first='Bryce' last='Kral'], shows also shows off the pedigree that Karson has for the taking.

One of the top Yankton Area prospects in South Dakota, comes from the Bucks offensive line and 6'3 260 pounder [player_tooltip player_id='1264230' first='Austin' last='Conway']. Austin shows off great agile movement getting of his stance as a pull-blcoker and is one, once he gets his hands on you into the second level you might not enjoy the ride as Austin not only shows off that drive-blocking ability but pins right in the chest with his pad-level. I also came away impressed with Austin in pass-coverage reps due to his balance he showed with his footwork and base. The #8 overall prospect in the 2027 class could be one that moves up this summer.
